This is absolutely tragic. Such a vibrant, intelligent, dynamic and entertaining young woman having to cope with death at such a devastatingly young age. I’d only just discovered by watching the video she made about deciding to go for a lung transplant, when I read that she died just one week after it. How cruel is that?? It just makes absolutely no sense. And makes it terribly hard, at least for me, to believe in any kind of benevolent God. Claire was clearly so alive and so keen to keep living, yet also so remarkably brave both in coping with a lifelong, terminal illness, and in accepting her own premature death. Something that no young woman of her age should ever, ever have to do! I can see that the world has lost an extraordinary person, who had so much to give, and who still managed to give so much in her short life. The world is now a poorer place without her. My heart goes out to her family too - how it is possible to cope with the devastating loss of one’s precious daughter, or sister, or niece, or cousin is beyond comprehension - and clearly no mother could ever get over a loss so great. Doesn’t matter how well prepared you are, some losses are just not meant to be ‘got over’, some losses stay with you forever but gradually you learn to live with the pain, so I hope Claire’s parents soon find some peace. Claire clearly pushed herself to her limits and lived life to the full. What an absolutely fantastic girl! ♥️ 😢 🌸

Its a shame she died without having a chance to try the new cf drug they have now. It has drastically helped mary at the frey life

I heard that she was on a very early clinical trial for the drug before she died. Unfortunately that version of the drug didn’t help. If only she would of held out anther year or so, she could of be good. But based on what she had said, it would of been very unlikely that she would of made it long enough to be able to take the drug (according to her she was losing 10% lung function every year towards the end and was at 25% her last year of life). Then again she may had been too far gone for it to of worked (no idea what the bottom threshold for it was and what the threshold was to even be able to live at is). It’s one of those you never know and you will never know things that life is so full of.

😢 😢 😢 i refuse to believe she gone so soon this makes me very sad to see her gone i have cystic fibrosis but i fight back with eating more furit and vegetables and a lot of water and practice martial arts and cardio and am 27 bit scared that i could die at 32 tho but i hope i live a long healthy life i feel bad she gone i wish she was loved and married she deserved so much more she should of not died it should of been me she a sweet girl and had so much going for her this makes me very 😥
