Justro it’s so good to see you’re back! We’ve been watching the older videos and wondering how you and the family are doing. About the new video, I haven’t touched my ironing board in about 20 years but I still have it. Wish I had one like that one-in the wall. ❤

🙂 welcome back Justro! You have been missed. Trust all is well with you and the girls...and your gardens are doing good. I will show my age here and say I remember those hidden in the wall ironing boards. They were actually great to have and one didn't need to find a place to store it as it already had a 'home.' 🙏

Howdy Brother- I remember the old ironing boards in the wall. If I’m remembering correctly my Daddy used to put them in houses he built a long time ago. I think the second little board was for ironing the legs of pants, or overalls in my case. Hope y’all have a great weekend. God’s blessings to y’all

My house that was built in 1964 has the same ironing board but-in. I love it and I would build that in a new house.
@SailaSobriquet5 ай бұрын
Thanks, Justin! I've seen those before as well. It's nice to see a close-up of how they work. I have a house built in 1925, and at some point during in the restoration and remodeling, I'd like to figure out a place to build one of those into one of the walls in my house. I'd like to build in one of those old phone shelves, too. I'm pretty sure this house had one in the hall, but someone installed a hall cabinet over it. The cabinet is far more useful, but still, I kind of feel like part of the house's history has been lost. (I also collect and restore old phones [candlestick, spit-cup, Lucy phones], and I think it would be neat to put one of those on the phone shelf -- probably a spit-cup phone -- and wire it up so it works.) Old houses have quite a few interesting features that are now long-gone in today's houses: built-in ironing boards, phone shelves, attic fans and their exhaust ports above the porch, flour bins and pull-out cutting boards built into the kitchen cabinets, and I'm sure there are others. Good to see you back, Justin! I always enjoy your videos! Have a great weekend!

My daughter and son in law bought an old farmstead, the original house was built in the early 30’s and was added onto a couple times. This type of built in ironing board was in the kitchen, I just loved it but they took it out and threw it away 😮 made me sick ! Sure hope to see more videos soon !!!

Justin, I really enjoy your videos. I was hoping you might be able to help me with something? We bought the old Garrard Mills in Lancaster KY. It was built in 1900. We are in the process of restoring it. It has roller mills. We would like to put a Grist mill in it. It has a line shaft in the basement that we could run off of. Do you have a mill to sell or do you know of any that might be a good fit? Thanks for any help!
