IMHO nothing was left out...Miss Jackson told us what she wanted us to know...it is her truth to share as she pleases. Thank her for letting us in. Applaud her wanting to keep her life private...so many of these celebrities think people need to know their business...you can remain dignified and relevant at the same Miss Jackson is a prime example..that less is more. So happy she has her son...she is glowing in her Mom role...and BTW really can't cry me a river for someone worth over 300 million dollars who in her own words says she is thankful for how she was raised (paraphrasing)...my own upbringing with my Mom & Dad who was not having any non sense out of me...I am so thankful for...never saw it as abuse...it was them making sure I did not end up like many in my hood at the time...I completed 2 Master Degrees...hold down a great job in a great profession...so I thank my Mom & Dad who let me know "don't let me have to take off my belt (that was Dad)...or my Mom when she took off her shoe you did not run you walked to her and took it and said Yes Ma'am. When grandma Rose was watching all us grand kids she threw a mean gravy spoon (the big metal kind) with excellent aim. She could hit you from across the room. Thanks grandma!

I understand that and I’m not accusing his behavior but unless he forced her she chose to marry him. It’s like you said she clung to him when she was trying to get away from her dad and she even said that she married him for the wrong reasons so that tells me that she didn’t marry him on the foundation of love. Also they all took advantage of her not just James and for somebody who was so afraid of him because he was abusive I don’t understand why she would tell him alone in the car when she clearly knew how he would react why not bring a family member with you or tell him in person hell she could have even just disappeared without saying a word because she did that when she separated from him anyway I just feel like she created unnecessary chaos that could have been avoided

In my opinion, Bobby Brown needed something interesting and not known information to sell his book. If he felt he was too black that was his insecurities showing because one Joe Jackson didn’t know who Janet was dating hence she snuck and married James to get away from his control. Two, if Joe had anything against Bobby it wasn’t his color, it was the flashy, brash, outspoken way he carried himself the total opposite of his daughter. The reason why I say that Joe didn’t care about the color of Bobby Brown skin is because Rebbie’s husband Nathaniel Brown was dark skin. So all that colorism BS in Bobby Browns book is just what most writers would call filler material. They broke up because of him and his ways not because of Joe’s perceived color issues. Janet dated many men in between her long term relationships and she didn’t mention them in the documentary. Bobby Brown was probably a three month or less fling that he thought was more than it was. He probably ran his mouth and she had to cut his bragging ass loose. Hell, look at Jermaine Dupree he ain’t no James DeBarge or Rene Eliezando color wise. I’m not buying the Bobby Brown colorism bull. I see it this way Janet never denied or ever commented on whether she ever got with him. So

Bobby & Jan were late teens/early 20's when they dated after the DeBarge divorce, right? IDK if Joe had color issues, and his kids dating/marrying darker skin people doesn't exempt him from being a colorist or not. Can't say one way or the other if Joe is or isn't nor whether Bobby lied or didn't. Only he & Jan knows if she said it or not to Bobby. I'm light, grandad dark, was very color-struck, my grandma could pass, but couldn't stand the color skin game, but I noted my grandfather made 2 exceptions toward darker skin people in the fam as his 2 of his favs. WTH & SMH? Through the yrs. I've noticed skin game people light and dark skin lovers makes exceptions from their colorism issues when they like a person, but still hold on to their idiotic skintone beliefs overall.

Janet talked about a lot of this from the doc in her book. Jermaine brought Switch and DeBarge to Motown so yes, the two families knew each other. The Jackson Street is the original name as the streets are named after Presidents...Jackson, Roosevelt, Van Buren, etc. very similar to Chicago. Hence, Roosevelt High School was the next main street not far from their home and where they had the talent shows. And yes, I think she would have made it if Joe was alive because she told most in her book and Joe was alive then, and he craved controversy...it was free publicity 😉

But Bobby Brown was an entanglement and he was after James. She was with Rene by that time. There was no need to talk about him. Bobby shouldn't have talked about her in his book and movie. He didn't talk about Karyn White and Madonna in the movie. I'm glad Janet finally dead that rumor about her having a secret daughter. I've never believed that rumor. That rumor got on my nerves. Like what Janet said in the documentary, why would she have kept a child away from James despite his issues? Mama DeBarge pissed me off when she was co-signing that wildebeest who was going around claiming to be Janet and James' daughter for clout. Rene Elizondo gave me clout chaser vibes especially considering that he sued her after their divorce. In the documentary, Janet even questioned why he was with her. Now, he and Janet did work well together and he did a lot for Janet creatively. He also caused a lot of hurt. I think he contributed to her depression that she openly spoke about during The Velvet Rope era. Janet didn't like how he would put pressure on her to look a certain way. Janet was already self-conscious and struggled with her weight. Janet did talk about the removal of her rib rumor in her book True You. It wasn't true. I loved how Joe gave his assistant his blessing to work with Janet after he was fired as her manager. He told her to take care of her. Joe loved his children. I hate how the world made him out to be a monster. Janet humanized her father in this documentary.

The reason Mike spoke of abuse from Joe was because he was sensitive and internalized him being disciplined as his father not liking or loving him. Janet internalized Mike talking about her weight because that was something she was ridiculed about being a young girl and actress. Mike and Janet both carried this internal hurt for years, but Janet recently since 2015 made peace with Joe and his parenting skills. She spoke on this before the documentary that she understood why Joe did what he did and treated them the way he did, and that was to keep them grounded, respectful and focused...I come from a large family and my younger sisters and brothers did not get that belt or electrical cord to the butt like the older one's did..and the grand children get all the love and respect from the parents, because as a young mother and father, you aren't adapt to kids and life and working and other issues in your life.

I dont know why you think that Janet should have mentioned Bobby Brown's name .....she never acknowledged him as someone that she loved or had a relationship with at some point in her life! He took it upon himself to put that in his movie & book! The guys that she mentioned in her documentary were people that she actually loved & had relationships with.....so whatever went on between her & Bobby, alledgedly, obviously had nothin to do with love, for her, cause she never considered herself in a relationship with him, and evidently never planned to take anything to another level. During those years, the late 80s, Bobby was a "player"...that got played! Janet was with Rene'.....and if something truly was going on between her & Bobby, as he alledges, well then, obviously he had some fiyah --------, and that is all it was! So no, she didn't need to mention him.....and I'm glad she didn't. She never claimed him.....nor anything he alledged. It is what it is......back up off my girl with that!

Birth control pills did a number on me, I had to figure out to take them before bed time to keep from getting nausea and then I had to switch to a different type because of getting migraines and then once I got much older and stopped taking them the breast soreness stopped so there you have it. Bobby Brown was not a heavy drug user until he got with Whitney, he smoked only weed. The young lady whose picture that was posted on KZbin about 3 or 4 years ago was Randy's daughter and Joe was in the picture with her, he had attended her graduation. I don't know why the person that posted it would say that was Janet's child, the girl is much too young to be James and Janet's baby oh she is an actress too I saw her in a movie with Vivica Fox on Lifetime.

I enjoyed the documentary even though I already knew most of it. I don't believe that there was a baby. I remember she was on the cover of Essence magazine back in 1985 and she denied the baby runmor in that article. The "baby" would be 37 or 38 years old now. If Joe were alive, I still think she would have made the documentary but not have said as much about him. I was a Michael "stan" when Thriller came out and then became a big Janet fan when Control came out. I used to read every magazine that they were in so I remember most of this stuff. I remember Rene but didn't know that he had so much Control over Janet and her image.

She talked about how he smacked the hell out of her when she was getting out of her shower once. I mean if she did that in the book when he was still alive, why wouldn’t she do this do you if he were still alive. Also… Leto ya talked about joe molesting her and rebe (however you spell her name) Honestly the whole family confuse me! I need another doc with some truth and shhh! She said that she had heard that rumor and that the removing of the rib was not true...She didn't touch on her ex-husband Wissam or the baby too much because of a court order that he does not want their son being photographed and also in the UK that's a no-no for children to be photographed unless the family is okay with it. Wissam is even more private than Janet, so a lot of things that Janet was private about, Wissam is even more private. I believe Bobby's story....I think he embellished that mess to make himself look like a playa, because Janet is not going to be put up out, and thrown into nobodies hotel hallway.....

We will never hear the truth from the Jackson siblings including Janet, about their lives, as long as their Mother is still alive. They were raised as Jehovah Witnesses and their respect for their parents remain strong. They will never reveal the truth about their lives until Mother Jackson passes and hopefully that will not be soon. I personally believe Janet, Michael and Jermaine all converted to Islam but won’t reveal it as long as Katherine is alive. Note how covered Janet appears lately. And yes the Jackson’s do have a type and that is anyone who looks like a DeBarge (light, bright and damn near white), I don’t care if Bobby Brown or Jermaine DuPri says otherwise. And I noted in the documentary everyone including Janet quick to say that Janet didn’t have a DeBarge baby, but notice they never admitted she wasn’t pregnant and had an abortion instead. Mama DeBarge, who had 10 children, says she knows when a woman is pregnant and that Janet certainly was. Now if she was pregnant what happened to the baby. Debbie Allen says if she had a baby when Janet was on the set of FAME, where is the Child. Well it was aborted thats why. And don’t forget Mama Jackson is still a practicing Jehovah Witness and too old and sickly for Janet to ever reveal the truth to either her or the public, while the mother is still alive. So for right now the Jackson siblings will not be revealing their most intimate secrets in public. and in the immortal words of their most famous sibling MJ, they have every intention to KEEP IT IN THE CLOSET. No matter how many documentary they put out. And you can bet, the siblings that were not interviewed, LaToya and Jermaine, are just dying to put one out of their own, soon!

I said the exact same thing. Out of respect for their mother - we are never going to get the whole truth. The skeletons are going to start popping out one by one when she passes. I'm telling you. There will be bombshells. By the way...none of their religious believes are secret. It is public knowledge that Jermaine is in the Nation of Islam. He has been for many years. Katherine knows all of that. Her kids left the Jehovah's Witness many many years ago. The only one who stayed was Rebbie. Katherine knows. It doesn't mean it doesn't bother her.

You personally believing that Jermaine, Michael and Janet converted to Islam is a no brainer. Jermaine married a Muslim woman and Janet’s last husband was also Muslim. (The family was taping a show around the time Michael died that showed Jermaine in his Muslim clothes when he was at home)Their mother is not senile so she is aware that her children converted to their spouse’s faith. If Michael converted it was for business purposes. So what is there exactly that needs to be revealed? Janet I’m sure has an agreement with her ex husband to raise their son in the Muslim faith hence she as a practicing Muslim must shield her body in public.

Well per Mark DeBarge Janet and James, the very first meeting was over the phone when she was 14. Bobby was at the Jackson mansion he called his family in Michigan. Bobby put Janet on the phone so she could say hi to his brothers. We know Janet and James had a connection because they started talking on the phone after that. Also that girl must still love James because she was crying like she knocked pills out of his hands this morning. They've been divorced over 30 years and she is still crying about him lying to her, that is what drug addicts do Janet. It was interesting that Janet wasn't crying over Renee's drug habit, just James. But Renee did sue her after the divorce, and it looks like James just walked away. He didn't fight for any financial settlement. Thanks, Nay because of your reviews of this documentary, Jackson Family Values, and LaToya's book we are able to piece together a lot of tea.

Rene was filming for some reason😒. Had no idea about Bobby. Janet is a sweet humble person. You can tell that. Sorry she's having the same troubles as us girls with these menfolk. Lots of predators out there. If the Debarge's have beef, it's with the person who left them to keep being victimized over and over again by a sicko. Those kids went through hell. It took a minute before Joe got his props. Sometimes we don't appreciate the sacrifices our parents make until later. She's right Joe did his best. Also he didn't leave his kids in the hands of a bunch of pedophiles (like a lot of showbiz parents did). I was going overseas to Korea. It was the mid 1980's. I had a surreal moment. I was sitting in the back concourse of an airport in Cali. I saw a small entourage come through. It was the Jackson's with a few of their road crew or security. I saw "Victory" on the crew's t-shirts.They were wearing the costumes Momma Jackson made. It was only 3 of the Jackson boys. Michael wasn't with them. I was too dumbstruck or it didn't register. I kept thinking to myself, " That can't be?" I never got up, they were in a hurry. I'm not like that anyway (too shy or uncomfortable).

Grand Rising Nay Rob! My opinion of the Janet Jackson Documentary Is that it was " Sanitized " For publication. I don't believe she's as squeaky clean as portrayed. Serenely Divine Sunday and upcoming week to you and yours!🌹

Nobody’s saying she is Jesus. She’s a human being. That has been through a lot and she deserve to have her secrets, she deserves to have her bitch moments, because at the end of the day she still a human being. That’s what you guys do will you put the stars on pedestals. I love her but I know that everyone is not perfect. And she let us know what she want us to know. And the rest is for her and God.

Agree, she documentary did not present anything we don't know or haven't already seen. IMO, Janet has a tendency to not take any responsibility. It would have been nice if she admitted the Super Bowl was a PR stunt and how the family took advantage of Michael and often used him for money which is why he distanced himself. Everything was presented to make HER look good.
