I almost cried when Matthew initiated a hug with John! In my university years, I worked with severely autistic children and my Masters thesis was 4 case studies of these children. At that time there was no such thing as a "spectrum" and autism was a horrific diagnosis. Years later, working with many on the spectrum (I DO think it's over diagnosed today - kind of the modern ADHD 🙄) París Does a magnificent job of portraying a true high level autist! I stand amazed at his instincts & mannerisms. Best actor ever. ❤

It’s amazing to see how God had to choose a nation and set up a culture from where he could then reveal his heart to the whole world through that. Unfortunately, the enemy and man has twisted what this was all supposed to be about and has made religions out of objects that God intended to use to point to himself, so the whole world could see, and so they become limited and miss the whole point but for those that have eyes to see an ears to hear blessed are they😁

love the emotion and the reminder of the court of the gentiles. excellent! How grateful that Im not a gentile in that day, shunned and treated as a 2nd class citizen - relegated to the outside perimeter - not even close to God. But with the resurrected Jesus instruction to Paul about the new Body of Christ (as opposed to that day's Jewish Kingdom believer) there is so much more freedom to worship God - and we have direct access today to the Father thru Jesus. I appreciate Brandons thoughts and this is an excellent passage for modern church leadership to meditate on to not lose site of the way the Body of Christ is to operate... with Love, not like the exclusivity of the Jews of that day.

4:54 There was an Egyptian thing I used to have visions of, but it was very vague, so I couldn't tell, but the fact that it has such meaning makes me believe that this is what I saw in those vague visions. Though vague, I recall seeing the hands crossed over with those rods and staffs, but it was extremely difficult to see in the vision since it was mostly dark, as I would have visions whenever I closed my eyes.

Flee to the Mountains It is important for those who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ to flee to the mountains. We know there are many places where there isn't mountains for hundreds of miles. What we believe God is telling us is that we need to go to the mountains where God gave us their words. The Father stood upon the mount Sinai and spoke to the people the Ten Commandments. Jesus gave us His word on the mount of Olives and gave us the Sermon on the Mount. The Father teaches us how to "keep" the words from His mouth in Deut.6:8-9. Then Jesus told us if we love Him to "keep" His words for they are spirit and they are life. And so we believe that those who does love God to put on the words, spirit of God as He directs us. It is important to have His Word or spirit on us as He walks us safely through the coming days. Be sure to use the K.J.V. not the N.K.J. or any other translation.

The "Disgusting thing which causes desolation" was likely the pagan Roman army which destroyed their Holy Place, within that very "generation," as He said. "Not a stone will be left upon a stone." He warned His disciples to flee Jerusalem as soon as possible when they see "it". Mysteriously, "it," (that pagan army" left and true believers were free to flee to the mountains to survive. Then the Romans suddenly returned and caused tat final, total desolation. "Behold, your house is left to you desolate! Look! Your house is abandoned to you." Mt 24

Yes... Jesus was Jehovah... the Great I AM. The only God that the Israelite's knew. And even then... he was the Son of God the Father. Jehovah from the beginning has always done the will of the Father. That is why he was chosen as the Savior and why he is the mediator between the Father... and his children. As the God of the Old Testament... he was the one that gave the Law to Moses. And when he did... he was doing the will of the Father. No one can get to the Father without going through the Son. That is his role... his calling. The Father and the Son are ONE in purpose.... NOT one in substance.

God told Moses to tell pharaoh that I Am sent him. How would pharaoh know who I Am is? There was a man in Egypt whose name was Imhotep. He was a foreigner , second to pharaoh, had the step pyramid complex built to store grain for a famine, he was an interpreter of dreams, and died at the age of 110 years old. Could this be the Egyptian name of Joseph? The Egyptians would often incorporate the name of their god into their name. Imhotep is actually a title meaning speaks for Im. When they found the tomb of Imhotep his sarcophagus was empty. The remains of Joseph were carried out of the land of Egypt during the Exodus. I think pharaoh knew exactly who I Am was because of Joseph.

What you are trying to explain time after time is that in Hebrew the verb ‘to be’ exists only in past or future, precisely to avoid saying I am = GOD. Jesus must have made them very upset as he does not say 'Before Abrahan I was'' which would have been bad enough but ''before Abraham I AM ''.

Here is where I don’t understand, you just mentioned on Sunday worship and it very clear sabbath is the seventh day, which is the 4th commandment. It is one of Gods laws not a mosaic law so why aren’t Christian’s observing it. The Jewish people still keep the law and the Lord thy God said the seventh day was sabbath and we as man can not change his laws. Just curious
@lizardwanderer5 ай бұрын
I wonder that too. I heard years ago that constantine made the day of worship Sunday because Jesus rose on that day. The commandment says remember the sabbath day and keep it holy. Whatever day that is. For Jews it's Saturday, for Christians it's Sunday. Some people have to work on the weekends so maybe their day is Wednesday. Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. I think Paul also spoke of not arguing over one day being more important than another. I think that's why we do Sunday and it's okay. I'd like to research it more though because it is curious!

I hate to admit it, but I don’t understand why the Pharisees were so angry when Jesus called himself the Son of Man. I’m not even sure what He meant by it. Have you ever done a video on that?
@areynolds86485 ай бұрын
In the Old Testament, the prophet Daniel receives a vision where he is told, “one will come like a Son of Man”, to whom “The Ancient Of Days” (God) will give all authority and an everlasting dominion. (Daniel 7, verses 13 and 14). The Pharisees would have known Daniel’s words very well, and thus, when Jesus refers to Himself as the Son of Man, He is telling them exactly who He is - The son of God and promised Messiah.

When Jesus says he is the Good Shepherd... He is talking about being the King...a Good King is a Shepherd.... A Shepard is worker in the field... When you break out with...Good Shepherd..means that he's claiming to be God..I feel a logic leap with no footing... King David who was Shepard and King...wrote that God is our Shepard ..and he was prophet King...so this is true...Psalm 23 And Jesus is claiming divinity by the elevated position of the Shepard to the Sheep... But I don't think that his statement about being the Good Shepard is strong proof...that He was introducing himself as God...I think He was using a Davidic based parable to help people understand his benevolence... And the benevolence of his sacrifice... A Shepard sacrifices himself for his Sheep...God was One with Jesus..and is.. And today we have the baptism of Holy Spirit so we receive God inside us.... And we are adopted sons of God... But we do not take that to meanthatwe are omnipotent wise or Holy... Jesus said without the Father He is nothing... Jesus made this as clear as he could...it's as though we are too primitive to have divine languaging for this Holy Mystery.. The mainthing is...for us to encourage each other...not amplify division. The other timely lesson here is that the sadducess... Couldn't think outside the small box when they interpreted Leviticus 24:16 And we are warned Warned Not to lean on our own understanding...but trust..God And if we soften our hearts the Holy Spirit will help us understand.. Today..we still misinterpret scripture...and perhaps mankind will always do this... Saying humble...will help us see around blind corners... So that the Holy Spirit if God Almighty can help us understand... The forcefully presentation....can force logic leaps on the listener...so that people become stunned by the force of your presentation...and they may not even think or notice that in the time of Moses... God did not speak in Greek

It is not accurate to say the New Testamennt ever has Jesus explicitly claiming to be God (pr implicitly). It proclaims him to be God's so, meaning his miraculously begotten Messiah/Christ (His Anointed-King descended from David). Take heart, the Bible will never condemn you for believing this, though other Christians, influenced by the post Biblical 4th century councils, will.

Question ? Since you appear to know so much history why do you continue to name the Mashaich (jesus) that is pagan name. It is equal to be referring about you under the name of Bob or Blake instead of Brandon. The names joseph, mary, jesus are all pagan names invented by Roma and you are continuing to follow the pagan practice “Just a Reflection for you “ Hoshea 2:17
@youngknowledgeseeker5 ай бұрын
Brandon, in humbleness, I (and many others, and scripture itself) must say it is tremendously innacurate to say Jesus ever explicitly claimed to be God (or even implicitly). Every argument ever is based on supposed inference, or of the supposed implication of sayings. Key word "supposed". We can never stop fighting for the explicit truth of the scriptures, that Jesus and his Apostles explicitly claimed him to be God's son, meaning his Messiah/Christ (His Anointed-King descended from David), and that it is by believing this we may have life in his name. The confession that he was the Christ, the son of the living God, was good enough for God and Jesus, and John writes that thimat belief was the intention and purpose of his gospel (John 20:31). Unlike the church councils dogmatic decision to claim anyone who doesn't believe Jesus is the true God (instead of the true God's son) is not Christian, the scriptures never do that to us! Take heart

Read Colossians 1:15-20 for light on this. Also worth noting the following: firstborn over all creation: Firstborn could denote a priority in time or in rank. The word does not describe Christ as the first being created in time because the hymn proclaims that all things were “created by Him” and that “He is before all things.” Jesus is the eternal One who was before all creation. The idea of firstborn in the Hebrew culture did not require that one be the first son born. This was not the case with either Isaac or Jacob. But they were the firstborn in the sense that they were rightful heirs to the line of their fathers. Being firstborn referred more to rank and privilege than to order of birth. Since Christ is God, He is supreme in rank over all creation. Yet He is not only the transcendent deity who created us; He is the One who died on our behalf (see Phil. 2:6-18) and was subsequently raised from dead. Thus He is also the firstborn from the dead (v. 18). The first One who experienced the true resurrection (see 1 Cor. 15:20). God bless

Yes brother! People are learning slowly. Just like Gamaliel said. If what we are saying is fake, it won't last...but if what we are speaking of is of God, no one will be able to stop it, and those who are unreasonably trying to stop it will find themsleves actually fighting against God. I'm not speaking of humble people genuinely confused but politely declining to believe this, but those who forcefully, slanderously, and mercilessly fight against it and also say the most slanderous things about those who simply try to spread the information.

Jesus can claim the authority he does, and the purity, and still not be God. He can say, I AM, and still not be God. God, can and apparently did give him that authority. Do not misunderstand me, Jesus, without a doubt is The Son of God. But, The Son is not the Father and the Father is not the Son, those are two separate stations. Jesus appeals to God in the Bible on multiple occasions. He asks God to “Forgive them, they know not what they do.” He asks God “Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” - this is one of the most poignant moments to suggest that Jesus and God are two separate people. He quite literally distinguishes his will and the Father’s will, certainly Jesus’ will is to do the will of his Father, indeed John 6: 38 says - “I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” Again, if he is declaring himself to be God, and he’s doing the will of God, he’s going to say, “I’m here to fulfill my will.” Additionally, on the cross, Christ says “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?” He’s not talking to himself, and asking himself questions he knows the answer to. He goes on to say, “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit.” Luke 23: 46 I’m not trying to be rude here. Not trying to stir up controversy or start a fight over this issue. Jesus Christ, is The Son of God. No doubt about it. Maybe that means they’re nearly indistinguishable, but, Jesus himself, makes the distinction on more occasions than just those I’ve outlined here.

If God became incarnate, would he be an atheist?
