Probably it’s not such a bad thing to have a humble job to begin with before becoming famous ... if nothing else it would give you an idea how the ordinary people eek out their existence, and hopefully you would not forget it, too. If I ever become famous I’d list working in a hat factory 🏭 with the unglamorous task of moving a mountain of rabbit 🐇 skins from one side of the factory to the other. At the end of the day I smelled like a thousand dead Bugs Bunny but without the cuteness. When I quit, I burned the clothes I worked in ... these were unsaveable.

@@NICOTINE8888 Thanks for your entertaining reply. Speaking of fame, my late widowed mother, some 40 years ago, got really angry when a fortune-teller told her she wouldn’t become famous but one of her children would. Stuff her children, she wanted to be famous !! I tried to reason with her that poor folks like us normally have to have some sort of talent to become famous, and her having once worked in a factory making tinned plum jam hardly counted. Alas, she eventually died unfamous. Me? Well not quite famous but I did become a murder suspect in two different countries. I’m innocent by the way. But one of my theories about the offender being involved in the electricity trade is now mainstream and the subject of a TV show in March 2022. I’ve now watched my theory in English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and even Romanian. The theory is sort of famous, even if I have avoided the limelight. And unlike my mother I have no wish for fame.

Related to Ozzy Osborne : Tommy Iommi (Black Sabbath's former guitarist) was carpenter before becoming a permanent member of Black Sabbath, and while he was working as a carpenter he had an accident and lost 2 finger tips (he was already guitarist and for a guitarist that's one of the worst thing possible) but he (or somebody else, I don't remember) built wooden finger tips to continue playing creating Tommy's specific sound

Because he preferred that Miley learn what hard work is like, her dad wasn't born in a golden cradle, he earned those millions with work, he didn't fall from heaven. Would you rather that your daughter was a nepo baby?

It’d be pretty cool if I saw something like this in the future as a guy pursuing storywriting in plans for the cinema industry and it says I was a handyman lol. While it wasn’t a full on job, just a free-lance experience, it’d be cool to just see that this storywriter/filmmaker started off in a handyman job lol

Clark Gable (not his real name) worked for his dad in the Oilfields around Seminole Oklahoma with my grandfather. Both were drillers and derrick hands. They stayed friends until around 1947; when my grandmother had had enough of Gable visiting them at their home in Oklahoma City; as they would dress up nice and hit the bars. My mom only knew him as 'Uncle Billy'.
