I used to follow a similar diet to Jo when I was super underweight. Tons of coffee, low carb, low cal. I was also anemic (low iron during this time). Since adopting a high fruit, high carbohydrate, calorie sufficient vegan diet, I’m no longer anemic and have great health, plus still lean (BMI 21), just not underweight anymore.

Yes I noticed how Jo is literally always talking about food, she is clearly very hungry and can't get it off her mind because she isn't eating enough. But she doesn't realise that it doesn't have to be that way if she stopped eating densely calorie fatty foods and started eating more plants that could provide her with the vitamins she needs without calorie restriction.

You aren't alone when you say it's hard to meet others in LA. This is so true!!! I've been living in LA for about 15 years and so many of my good friends have moved to other countries and have agreed about being able to meet ppl. I was lucky to have met my husband but he was not an LA native. I love your videos!!!

I have the same issue with iron! Coffee can actually make it difficult for you to absorb nutrients, so that may make the iron deficiency worse :/

I also reale used to love meat! I ate it literally every single day! Then I stopped eating it because of the animals. I have been a vegetarian for 2 years and then transformed to a vegan lifestyle. This has now been over 1 year! It is really hard in the beginning but when you do it one at a time and you know why you are doing it, it isn’t as hard as it seems
