Cami!! This looks so wonderful! We have friends who have a dairy farm and our big girls love going and watching the cows get milked!! They sell ice cream and nothing else... but now I want to check out the laws in Ohio to see if we could find a local dairy farmer who does near us! Thanks for the encouragement and inspiration to keep living life beautifully! ❤️

We live in Ohio and I’m pretty sure it’s not legal. We have a local farm that sells cow and herd shares. You pay to help keep the cow and then you can get milk

I use to drink it, my parents had a cow. I also have cousins who have dairies. I have churned cream before to make butter. I think it's a wonderful experience for your children.

How fun to hear that that has been a part of your life. It's just so charming! I agree, I think it is always good to teach our kids where real food comes from.

My nephews are dairy farmers here in Tennessee and one of them also owns Jersey cows that are milked separately because that milk supports his local Creamery that he opened about 18 months ago. You should travel down South and check it out.

How I would love to come south and see their dairy farm! I've heard great things about Tennessee and would love to visit. Hopefully someday! How very cool to hear about your nephews business, thank you for sharing.

@@DoingLifeWithMiranda My nephews milk and own a creamery in the Shop Springs community. It's off the Lebanon/Watertown exit about 7-8 miles toward Watertown. Give the ice cream a try. You will be a repeat customer, I promise.

What?! No way! I have had a lot of local friends ask me about this dairy, and I went, crap. Sometimes he is already low when we go get milk! Haha! What have I done!

Ummm... Utah does allow the sale of raw milk. I have been buying it in west Jordan since 2015 to this very day. So YES Utah does allow the sale of raw milk. They have for quite some time now. You have to get it from the farm. However, Redmond farms now has a store in Salt lake and a few other locations (yes same people that sell "redman's real salt").

Thanks for the video.. the kids look a little less than excited… I bet the ice cream is amazing. How nice is it that some places still have an honor system ? I’d be supporting them also if I didn’t live in Illinois.. GOD bless you and your amazing family ..👍👍🙏🇺🇸😊

Haha! They love to go, but they just don't love when I film them! Such troopers! It does feel a bit like a step back in time to go to such a quant place and honest community. I always hope that no one takes advantage of that honor system! Thanks a ton for watching my video Mark!
@markhuber83452 жыл бұрын
@@TIDBITSandCompany I’m sure that most people wouldn’t take advantage of his system if they are willing to go out of their way to patronize his business. Good luck with the cow idea …you’ll have lots of fertilizer lol

It’s great that you drink raw milk, especially the kids! One thing about Idaho, there are laws that the dairy has to be inspected, along with the milk, every couple of months, so I feel safe drinking it. I wish I lived closer to this dairy. I can get raw milk, but it’s really expensive. Good luck with getting a dairy cow. It might be a good idea to share the cow with a couple other families so you can get away once in a while. Or you could keep the calf and let it have the milk while you’re away. It’s fun to know you’re close to Idaho!
@TIDBITSandCompany2 жыл бұрын
Oh! I didn't actually know that about Idaho! I wonder if that's why they are allowed to sell in stores too because they are so heavily inspected. It's seriously so clean whenever we go there, so I feel pretty good about it. And YES! My hubs has actually talked to several families that want to do this "milk cow co-op" with us! Which is so good because we won't have to feel like we can't go anywhere, and we would never drink that much milk on our own. Wish you lived in closer too so we could actually meet Cynthia! Thanks again for watching!

My son is allergic to the pasturized milk, but he is able to drink raw milk because it still contains the enzymes that help to digest the milk in our bodies. We were so disappointed when the law changed and we could no longer buy raw milk.
@TIDBITSandCompany2 жыл бұрын
I've heard that from so many people too! So interesting what mass produced food has done to our bodies. But it is a hard problem to solve in our culture. That is so sad to hear that you can no longer buy raw milk when he was able to drink it so much better. Makes me a bit frustrated for you!!! Thanks for watching my video today Marlyne and sharing your thoughts.

Where is this dairy farm? I would love to make a trip out there.
@anitabarker31252 жыл бұрын
Very informative and interesting. It is expensive and I thought it would be cheaper cutting out the middleman.
@TIDBITSandCompany2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is more expensive for sure. I've found if you want to do anything more natural/organic it is always more expensive. I imagine it is just like my planner production. The more you make/produce the less it costs per item. I imagine these small farms have a lot of expense and have to work harder therefore it costs more. This is mostly why we are thinking to get our own dairy cow so we can actually make our own butter etc. and eat it with reckless abandon! The cow is obviously more upfront but over the years I think it would pay off.

Have you ever made your own cheese? Just curious…
@TIDBITSandCompany2 жыл бұрын
Yes! My hubs loves to make all sorts of creamy yummy cheese from it and he'll often buy the cream and make our own butter. It's a bit cheaper that way and super fun for the kids. Cream cheese from this raw milk is to die for!!!!!
