I haven’t watched the entirety of this episode but I’m willing to guess that this wasn’t an actual jury but instead the execution. Like they’ve already came to the conclusion that both are guilty of whatever it is they did and now they’re punishing them by draining their energy with this… display. And since it’s draining enough just watching this happen I’m willing to bet that it must’ve been quite hazardous in there to begin with. Those two were literally sent there to die.

I dont feel like their vampires in the traditional sense but more like espers with psudo traits like a vampire only NOT undead but psudo immortal, and energy they take is people arua or bio generated powers from the conscious to the spirit, i believe they get more powerful if they absorb the ESP energy from other psychics.
