When you went to shows previously and he would get “ jiggy” that is a sign of ulcers. My horse had bad ulcers and his “response” was anxiety, not being able to focus, sometimes would explode for what seemed like no reason. They are VERY good at hiding things but like I said before it takes a special person to be able to “listen” to their horse at the slightest change/whisper they are communicating. Hopefully he gets better quickly. I started my horse on 100x equine “gut x” and it’s done amazing things for him. Most importantly it helps buffer the stomach acids they produce constantly with all natural ingredients. Great reviews as well. Definitely do your own research but after recommending to a bunch of people it has helped their horses tremendously ❤

He’s jiggy 24/7, he’s a very hot and sensitive horse but will be interesting to see how/if that changed with treatment😊 thank you! Currently doing lots of research so will add to my list ❤️

I always say, "You know your own horse or pony best"!! And they 100% do try and tell you if something is wrong with them! I'm a BIG believer in this! You've just got to really listen and pay very close attention! You have to be very in tune with your horse or pony and have a very tight bond with them but in saying that us equestrians are very good at getting to know our new horses pretty well over a very short space of time too. So, that's why I always say please trust your gut and push for treatment or a procedure that will prove what you basically already know! To then get treatment. Don't forget a vet sees your horse once in a blue moon, and everything is pretty much textbook with them, and if to them they aren't showing what are typical signs for this or that, then it's pretty much already ruled out on their behalf but if you've got a good vet they will 100% listen to you and take on board what you are telling them about the horse or pony you spend nearly every waking hour with everyday!! And come to an agreement 🤝 to do a scope, for instance, like hannah's vet did eventually, and what a surprise the owner knew from her gut something wasn't quite right and was completely right about the outcome of that scope! Being a working groom for many years when I was younger and an owner of my own ive seen it all and I've seen this happen so many times where the owner/loaner even, has known all along that something isn't quite right but the vets not really agreed and the horse has missed out on months even years of treatment but dont get me wrong I can also see it from a vets perspective too in some certain cases. It's a tough one. But for this story, 😢I'm so glad you stuck to your guns, and the vet agreed to scope him, and surprise surprise, the owner was right again. Poor chocky 😢 well done for being his voice hannah 👏 👍🏻 he's truly lucky to have you!!! ❤

I've been using Equinutritive revive and shine for the last 6 months and swear by it for my very itchy pony so I'm very grateful for the discount code 🤣 well done you for knowing your pony so well, he's a lucky boy to have you! X

Well done for listening to your gut hun (or..well Choccy's gut in this case haha). Pepper's ulcer symtoms were also pretty mild but we know them better than anyone and it's always better to investigate and not find anything than to not investigate at all and let it get worse over time. Lovely to see a vlog from you!

I used to watch her videos ALL of the time . She stopped posting for a while and I lost track. So nice seeing her on your vlog. Happy to see her doing well with her business as well. ALWAYS trust your gut. It’s usually NEVER wrong. Glad you got to the bottom of everything with choccy. They do try to tell us, but it takes someone special who will actually listen to them. Hope he is doing better ❤️

Thank goodness you went with your gut instinct. Do you feed hay in the field? As your grazing looks very sparse so he probably isn’t getting enough fibre through his gut whilst out in the field.

The horses are on 20+ acres of grazing, you can only see the top bit in this video, there is plenty of grazing down the bottom😊

Trust your gut! I felt something was wrong with my guy and vets didn’t believe… fast forward a few months and he almost died from a violent colic where they finally opened him up and found two pieces of metal wire in his small intestine! He’s recovering just fine and I’ve just gotten back on recently.

You’re definitely not overreacting at all. My Aztec was put down because of a hindgut fissure that was causing him to colic. Better to be safe than sorry.
