Hey guys. I manage an SPCA in BC Canada and have mostly cats in my shelter. The best you can do is to hold the kitten wrapped up like a burrito and make soft eyes by blinking slowly while looking at the kitten. The kitten looks around 4 weeks and putting the formula in with some canned food works great. He may not eat until night time as he may feel safer then, when it is quiet. You may already know this but thought I would mention making soft eyes with the kitten as this is a behavior cats do to show trust and non aggressive body language with each other.

i am a 67 year old man. this is one of the greatest kitten rescues that i have ever seen. i was so nervous for you sammie when you crept through that little opening. tears of joy for you sammie as tucker found butters. butters now has great human parents and a bunch of cat sisters and brothers to spend her life with. i adopted a kitten along with her mom about a year and a half ago. they were dumped on a farm in somerset, nj. there were also 2 other babies that the mom had but they were adopted before i got to the agency. the kitten that i adopted (karli) actually looks like butters. so tucker there are now at least 2 cats in the world that look like you.

I just had my 3 yr old black cat died in my arms from being bit by a snake he went out Sunday morning & I found him on the back deck about 8 p.m & I held him from 10 p.m. til 3:50 a.m. when he passed. I put him him to rest in my front yard next to my pomeranian that I was lucky to have for 15 yrs so now their both at rest there I'm going to make it a beautiful flower bed.
