Not to defend the guy’s reckless mentality and thrill seeking, but the thing he said at 59:54 seems to just be a poorly constructed sentence about using a chemical library to find vulnerabilities/aka “hits” in coronaviruses for antiviral development. “Targets” in this case are proteins either on the virus or on host machinery used by the virus.
