I was at the draft sitting in general admission with MN fans. The boos came from a small number of loud people. This doesn’t represent all MN fans. Thanks for the Walter cup, Ken and Natalie!

Ken Klee messed up the middle of the draft big time. That could cost the team for two or more years. The team went from Darwitz going Minnesota first to Klee passing on Minnesota players even when they were hands down the best players on the board. I wonder if the league had words with Darwitz about this, and if some non-Minnesotan players in the locker room were vocal about it.

Yea, if there aren't a lot of cheers the boos are gonna make the most noise, literally, in a venue like that. And of course the media is gonna focus on the boos *eyeroll*

@@tudormiller887 I don’t think indigenous peoples heritage month needs a month either. As for international men’s day - I could take it or leave it. I just don’t think a whole month is necessary for any group.

@@jakeklompstra4035It is likely inaccurate. Science hasn’t proven that every single trans athlete has an advantage. Why would that be a given? By the same token, Abby Roque, as an example of a tomboy, does she not have a clear advantage and the ability to harm someone, if she were to choose to, because of the extra testosterone she produces? It’s prejudice, plain and simple. Athletes need to be assessed on a case by case basis.

Let me get this clear, the PWHL would welcome inclusion of XY trans athletes in the league. That's what you are saying? That is what the PWHL is saying? I'd love to see this and see the reaction from all of the people that believe XY trans athletes are women that have just as much right to play in a women's league. XY trans athletes would dominate the PWHL just like they have in swimming and track and field. Minnesota high school men's hockey teams could dominate the PWHL. It isn't even close. XX women could not compete.

If fans and players stay away from the team because a player holds an obnoxious opinion, that makes the team worse: less revenue, lower morale, harder to recruit good players, etc. Racial integration in baseball was both a moral victory and a way to recruit outstanding black baseball talent. There's a ton of talented women in hockey who are out; wouldn't it be crazy to alienate them?

@@Too-Odd "Obnoxious" is any view that drives people away. I'm speaking in general; fill in the blank anyway you like. The point I'm making is that a player who publishes such an opinion damages the team if that opinion drives away fans and players. Maybe they think _Friends_ is better than _Seinfeld_, and they publish that opinion. It doesn't matter to my point.

@@sthompson18 That isn't the definition of obnoxious, it is the definition of bias driven discrimination. From you - not her. I would advise you to be careful what you advocate against as obnoxious, by your ad populum definition, because what drives fans away from the PWHL and WNBA is not likely what you likely agree with. Does that mean what you want, say, and advocate for are obnoxious to most potential fans? Does that matter? Does only your opinion matter? Please give us specific comments that you are opposed to. We don't need hearsay or groupthink here. Show some receipts. I am not religious, and I have been advocating for gay and lesbian rights for a half century. Nevertheless, I do not believe XY athletes should be allowed to participate in XX athlete sports. I also believe that any XX athlete has a right to give her opinion of this issue without being cancelled by woke censors.

The beloved game of hockey! For gods sake let the snowflakes melt in their feelings. You have a god given and constitutionally protected right to your opinion. Every opinion! No one “as they may like “ get to sensor speech. One doesn’t have to agree but, one doesn’t have the right to silence either. Hockey, last time I checked was a brutal game not for the faint of heart. Professional sports have never been the place to air such social grievances. Miss Curl, play hard, make your team proud and, silence the nay sayers both in your head and on the ice.
