Love, love the counter top! Can’t wait to see the other counter done. Because I collect linens, I would not been able to resist the aprons and tablecloth set. Bless you for resisting! Thank you for the great video Marcy.

I love wood too, doesn’t matter what condition it’s in I love to repurpose it. As a primitive lover, the more worn and weathered, loved and used I just love it🤎🤎. I have big ideas too but you have the courage to do it 😂. I would love to do that to my old countertops too but ummm, not that brave. It looks great! Loved this video❤

OMGosh…all I could think about the whole time you were sharing your countertop project with us was Ike Godsey on a Waltons episode using all the same things to stress his antiques and such to sell for more money. And of course I’m drooling over all the things you left behind at the thrift store wishing you had an online store we could buy because you find so many things I WANT!!! I am 66 years old, am not a minimalist in any way shape or form but I STILL want things to sit around and collect dust and then have to clean. As a child growing up in a family with 9 children I swore I would NEVER buy tea cups and saucers because twice a year we had to wash over 100 cups and saucers my mother inherited from her family. They were pretty but I just dreaded the pre-Easter and pre-Christmas dish washing day and yet I collect tea pots and pretty tea cups and saucers that catch my eye. My husband could care less how much I bring in to our retirement cottage because he says I’m not hurting anyone and as long as he can see the tv…have at it! My daughter always says it’s organized hoarding but I’ve seen hoarder houses and I’m no hoarder. I only thrift at Habitat for Humanity now because our Goodwills do not have very friendly thrift store prices in my opinion. I always say if I pay up on something at least I’ve helped someone who is working toward home ownership!!! Marcy Jo…I thank you so much for sharing in your joy…it gives me joy and some days I NEED joy with Hunnys health issues. Can’t wait to see the continuation of your kitchen facelift and your story to go with it!!!:):):)
