I wanted to see what a pawn shop would pay me if I brought in items that I bought for 1 dollar from an Amazon liquidation store. I was hoping to find a quick and easy way to flip, resell, and move inventory.

I wanna get into reselling but most of the stuff I've seen (pallets, liquidations) are used and/or missing pieces. 😕 Or if it's new, it was returned due to abnormalities or manufacturing erros, like uneven tables, etc etc.

There are definitely some damaged returns. Some can be salvaged and sold as used or refurbished. I usually just try to check my items here before buying to make sure it's good enough to flip

Any tips? Ive been doing this on and off for a year. Ive been wanting to focus on doing this as my main source of income. One of my biggest things is avoiding any Chinese knockoff items and making sure items arent damaged.

Those are good rules to go by. I'm sort of in the same boat doing it as a side hustle for a few years and I wanted to scale it up to be a main source of income. I could only think of 3 ways to do that... 1. Start buying pallets and dedicate a large portion of your apartment/garage/basement/home to storing and selling all this inventory. 2. Open up my own bin store business and buy directly from the wholesalers 3. Keep doing it as a fun part time side hustle and start make videos on it to help supplement the reselling income with ad revenue. I chose option 3, but many resellers like option 1 and 2. I don't want all the hassle of large scale liquidation personally. I just like the treasure hunting aspect and enjoy it as a hobby. And I think just doing it as a small part time side hustle on the weekends makes it very relatable for the people watching my videos, because it's something they can realistically do with their jobs. They don't have to quit and open up their own whole bin store to find value in my content. So, that's just my thoughts, and I'd say you should decide for yourself how you'd want to scale it. Great quiestion

Yeah, I’ve gotten better stuff on $7 day that they said they would like. But dollar day can be tough. That’s what eBay is for!

Does Amazon run these things or people just buy pallettes of returns then sell on?
@tidusflips Жыл бұрын
The latter. Third party liquidators buying truckloads of returns and overstock
