its because the labor is cheap. people use different chemicals to make foods grow faster because of the demands of people. if you want a healthy meal than it comes with time and costs to make a quality product.

Almonds are called superfood for a reason. I remember when I was creating diet plan on Dietarize, they didn't let me leave eggs unselected. Now I realise how important they are in every diet, whether your goal is weight loss or muscle gain. Almodns FTW!!

I agree with you! I’m one a diet for a month I eat one meal a day in that meal almonds are a must for me as I don’t eat a lot of meat very often almonds are the best replacement for me. I use a lot of nuts in my salad and that’s my meal for the day. I’m feeling better like never before.

Come on. You can buy a 2.5 lb. container of almonds at Walmart in Canada for $16. That means you can get it even cheaper in the USA. That's a huge container and would probably last you a month. Is $16 a month going to hurt you financially? If so, you might as well just end it right now.

Thanks for the video. Almonds have one more benefit. It sharpens your memory. Increases your grasping power. Soak almonds in the water in the night and have those in the morning. This way one can get more benefits. If you don't like the skin then peel it off and then consume them. It's always recommended though to have it with the skin.

I need to make a diet plan to eat only nuts and seeds once or twice per week! would it work well in a 5:2 fast days?

I came here from the video recommending fasting every other day, and was thinking the same thing. I wonder if I can eat 500 to 600 calories for a day in nuts and seeds and not think I'm starving.

I had to look into how much i could eat while not exceeding above 600 calories, and it's not much. Almonds - 1 cup (95 g) 546 cal Cashew- 1 oz. (28.35 g)155 cal Hazelnut- 1 cup (75 g) 471 cal Pecans - 1 cup (99 g) 684 cal Walnuts - 1 cup (80 g) 523 cal Flaxseed -1 cup (168 g) 897 cal Peanuts - 1 cup (146 g) 828 cal Preferably i want to eat each of the nuts/seeds of equal weight, but the quantity would have to be very small as 100g of Almonds alone is almost enough to reach the 600 cal limit.

Minus the cashews, six cups is quite a lot of nuts to be eating in one day, irregardless of it being a fasting day or not, and a cup of flaxseeds will, I'm sure, stop you up for a good week. At any rate, I think if I were to give the 5-2 thing a go, it would be after a go at One Meal A Day, where I'd be a bit more accustomed to going without food for a while. As it is now, I rarely eat breakfast, and even more rarely eat more than two meals a day.

You forgot to mention that almonds contain zero omega 3 and that makes it pro-inflammatory.

I hear Linn LM-1 drum machine samples in the background music. Rimshot/sidestick sound (pitched down) and claps. Very recognisable sounds in early 80s New Wave/Synthpop music. Especially in Prince's music!
