What Will Rugby 24 Gameplay Look Like?

RUGBY 24 GAMEPLAY!
In this video i am looking at @bigantstudios last attempt at a rugby game and seeing what i think they could bring over into Rugby 24. Do i think they will use the RLL4 engine as the core of rugby 24?

Brother Rugby 24 need to give you early access to the game and test it on all our behalf. They need a few community based players and content creators to do so! You’ve earned that right after all the promotion you have done on their behalf, because no one from their useless studio will talk to us!

Another rugby game did this. The final product was just as trash as everything before it since Rugby 08.

@@wrightyy I agree. I’ve played madden for years and even though it’s the same company the gameplay itself is still very much the same since I started playing it. Where as rugby games all have different button configurations, scrum and set piece play mechanics and none of its fluid. They went to far from what EA already had for us which was perfect

Hi from South Africa. Well one small thing I hope they really do when you play career mode where you have the transfer window where you can buy players and give contracts from 1 year to 5 years to players to play for your club. Well i hope they make it that you as the coach can also get offer's from other rugby club's that you can go there and build them up with good players as well. Also guys and girls something to think about that they can do that is also a small thing that can make a big difference is let's say you play career mode as the Freestate Cheetahs and in the beginning of the season sponsors come to your club with goals and say if you win the competition you get a bonus or if you make the top 8 you get a bonus for every trie your club score you get a bonus and how good your club perform every season you can get more and better sponsorship. Because contracts and sponsorship and player transfers are the reality of Rugby. That is why i say that you as coach must also get offer's from clubs to go and build those clubs and attract good players. The last one what i like about Rugby 22 are the malls where when you are close to the goal line you can mall over the line and score the try like they do in real life where with the other rugby games when you mall your team stop before the line and you must pass left or right with Rugby 22 you just mall over the line and score the try. What do you guys and girls think. Some thing i wanted to ask was how many women and girls play Rugby on PlayStation and pc and what do they think what do they want in a Rugby game.

Agreed, great video mate. This RLL4 is why I'm super excited that Big Ant is creating a Rugby game. They capture all the little things that we appreciate and also graphical wise it's superior to WW and Eko. Can't wait for release bud. Take Care.

Great video. The footage from Rugby League Live 4 is what keeps me believing. Love the players being able to step a tackle. Game looks more fluid and dynamic than Rugby 20. These graphics would be good. If they can improve on this and the game runs well could be the best rugby game ever 🤞

That's what I'm hoping. Although it has since been confirmed that they will not be using this exact same engine as it's slightly old. Doesn't mean it might not be similar.

I think you’re right about the way Rugby League Live 4 was received being mostly positive. That is a good sign for Rugby 24 whether they use the engine it not. It shows they know got to represent a sport in a game. Nice vid mate 🎉

As a rugby league fan I’m excited for the union game. We haven’t had a league game for a long time and people like me keep the game alive with kit and player updates every year. I hope up the union game has the fanhub. It’s a great tool big ant has put in their games as of late. I think league was the first to get it.

Rugby 08 was great for its time, and although many of the tackling animations are great, a lot of the other animations do not hold up today.

Seeing that I am tired of the wait, I should maybe play one of the other Big Ant games, like cricket, to understand their logic better. I was super hyped as I loved rugby games through the years - even the bad ones - because it is rugby! Unfortunately my hype is really starting to dwindle with this bad release fiasco for Rugby 24.

The game will be delayed further and the decision will ultimately be to rename it Rugby 25, which will be released later this year.

Ive had the displeasure of playing rll4 for half a decade ,97% of the time its literally unplayable, the only reason i keep loading up the game is cause nrl is my favourite , the only only hope is there previous nrl games were playable

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it. I think the only reason we have got excited is because union games recently have been even worse than this. It has now been confirmed by Ross that they are not using this exact engine for R24 so that's good news.

Seen the hate this game got was a surprise to me, one of the most played rugby games of mine and I have played almost every rugby game. But I think if they take this, and improve slightly, mostly the stepping and the dummy pass, it could be genuinely a top tier game. Although the career mode bugged out financially a lottttttt. Surely not a copy and paste game though (I hope)

Definitely, I think RLL4 seems to play quite well, there has been quite a lot of good feedback so if they use that as a base it could be fun.
