Lol! Do you remember the zig zag pattern ones? They were awful!!! 😂 I had one like that and I am not sure why I ever styled my hair with it.🤪

Don’t comb it out. My trick with this tool, is to crimp with mouse once out of the shower. Maybe whatever product works for you, but let your hair fully dry. FULLY dry, and then use the tool.

For more volume at the roots, hold the device so the first wave goes over, not under. I need less volume at the roots, so I do the direction she uses in the video.

Ooof 😅 the way I flinched every time you slammed those hot plates together on your hair.

Right I was thinking the same thing. Like do we need to be that aggressive or is that the tool itself?
@TamraOG26 күн бұрын
The BedHead ‘A Wave We Go’ is best IMO. Does deep waves and also has a knob to adjust 3 smaller waves (deep tousled to almost flat crimp). The middle wave goes up and down 🙌🏼 I love it! Temp control. Super fast and easy ✅

Okay, I feel stupid. It sounded cool, so I looked it up on Amazon, and it showed "Purchased July 2019“. I've used it maybe 3 times over the 5 years, and I had NO idea it was adjustable, so thank you! I guess I'll be using it a lot more frequently now. 🤣

It does do better. Those three barrel ones don’t really give any wave. Just a bunch of straight fried hair. The deep waving ones do give actual mermaid waves. Ditch the three barrel one and use the other one.

I feel like this isn't a bad idea because you run less risk of burning yourself with the plates. But unles they are interchangeable to get like tighter or looser waves, i wouldn't get one if i had one already

I’ve seen the “same effect”, done with "flat irons"…😳 Also, this is just an “updated version”, of the “1980’s 'crimping irons';" I had in my youth. 😂 Respectfully 🙏🏻, I wouldn’t spend money on “one of 'those’.” However, everyone can "do whatever they want", with their own money!! No one EVER uses it right!! Start at root, so high it almost burns your scalp each section (jk don't burn yourself) Use first wave bar for super high lift at root during crimp. Then start the 1st bar under the 3rd wave you just did as you move down (like you did but strictly just like that on every section all over every time) do it like that all the way to ends. Hair spray each peice one at a time after every section is freshly crimped hot.. Then after sections sprayed and look like weird waffle bacon strips, carefully separate each section into small peices and scrunch not all, but just some of the crunch out. Rough it up, shake it around, man handle it. You WILL have a big beautiful bouncy afro. It WILL be alot of stress on your hair. You WILL be exhausted after..And you WILL only ever wanna do it again on super special occasions or events where you wanna feel like a super star. You WILL wanna use an overnight or 15 min. conditioning hair treatment after. But it WILL last the whole day and night..and another day and night..and another..etc. Until washed and will STILL look great and will NOT go the least bit flat 😅 if you ever retry it this way please let me know. It's hard-core on the hair but for special occasions its totally worth it. PS. The regular 3 silver exposed bars wave crimper probably works better than this one.
