There are so many conflicting advice in re fasting. Dr. Stacy Sims says exactly the opposite: dont do IM because it stresses the female body too much.

Yeah Dr sims is more proof for me because i’m fit and athletic and an athlete, instead of women who do ‘t look fit or strenth train. She’s walking orove as where all these hormone so called dotctors look flabby and soft and not even atrong 🤷🏻♀️ To each our own but Dr’s like this maryband others may be now into hrt but theybarill Have no fitness background 🤷🏻♀️

Dr. Sims preaches vegetarian, no hormone therapy and taking all kinds of plants that will "replace" estrogen. In her world, you need protein more often to help keep muscle. If you're on HRT, you have more options.

Check out Sarah kleiner wellness and Sara Pugh.. they teach circadian rhythm led diet and lifestyle. So fasting happens naturally with how our metabolism reacts to light. Dinner is really the meal that most people need to eliminate or keep lite as our bodies are slowing down with darkness 😊

Dr Stacy sims doesn’t recommend a prolonged fast but she normalized 12 hr window of not eating after dinner (implying that this isn’t fasting but a normal pattern of not eating). I’ve been having success with 12-14 lb weight loss in 4 months and reduction in waist size with 12-16 hr fasts most days (except not week before period I keep that 12-14hr max), eat 3 balanced meals in that time frame and make sure I’m getting 30 grams of fibre and 90-110 grams of protein a day and lifting heavier weights 3 days week.

I am 55 and 30 lbs overweight. I work 18 hour days. I get up at 5:30 to walk my dog, at my day job from 7-5 lots of up and down and walking there, then home to change for PT job for another 3 hours which is all out doors walking, climbing steps, grabbing trash bags, back down steps to load truck then unload truck. Back home and walking dog again. I average 15-18k steps a day. I do not eat breakfast until 8-9 am dinner if at all is super light so we don’t go to bed on full stomachs. I am working on reducing sugar intake. I had a hysterectomy so no cycle for 10 years. I am sure the issue is my diet. Just sooooo much conflicting information. I am looking at Optavia to help at this point.

Omg I had no idea that having my tubal ligation would bring menopause earlier! Sadly my husband was not able to have a vasectomy . I wished I had known this info

That explains my troubles then ! I started going thru it at 43 perimenopause had my tubal after 3rd child ❤

My mom had tubal ligation at her 25 years (after the second cesarian). The menopause was at 53. Estrogen dominance maybe prolonged a bit ))) Her main problems were with massive menstrual volumes and fibroid.

May I ask why your husband couldn't have a vasectomy?? Seems much less invasive than having tubes tied but I could be mistaken.

On/gyn should not be pushing getting tubes tied. I got a IUD after my last child and just kept that until menopause. But I had the benefit of seeing my aunts go a little crazy and have depression and anxiety after having their tubes tied, so I knew it wasn’t just a simple thing. Caused more problems than it cured.
@angryanne2 ай бұрын
Why would that happen? I had my tubes tied 40 years ago I had a pretty uneventful menopause at 52 I’m in good shape now at 63 looking forward to a happy retirement.

I thought IUDs were banned? They are still used? I didn't know this.

This is a bit against what doctors like Stacy Sims advocate for. What do you recommend for women who are not overweight, practice progressive overload training, but are actively in menopause and have the belly fat to deal with? Also, could you speak more towards fasted versus non fasted workouts?

I think the chronic infection of elderly is because of dryness.( Maybe teaspoon olive oil on empty stomach will help) People must try the body to prevent decreasing of bone density at age "35". ( Keep on with nutrients that assist the body to take up micro nutrients and nutrients needed for healthy and normal bone density .

I am 47, at the end of age 46, my ears were itchy for a few months and I never questioned it. I did become fatigued and exhausted at 46, now that I am 47 I now started having consistent irregular periods. Sigh…..🤷🏻♀️ I do consistently exercise and have 1700 calories per day. I would do more but I am short, 5’2”, 133 lbs.

I've had lifelong chronic UTIs, since 1989. So many antibiotics. I discovered d-mannose a few years ago, that's keeping them in check. At some point I'll probably utilize vaginal estrogen, I'm only recently getting irregular cycles.

@@thenightporter yep. Was dx'ed with it in 1989. My urologist told me I should have a baby, that'd fix it. Or I could just have a surgery. Or make sure to urinate after sex every time. I was...unimpressed as you may imagine.

@@PACbelltech1 yes that was also encouraged at diagnosis in 1989. I was always a big water drinker. According to the urologist my urethra was too short, hence why he suggested that I have a baby as that'd fix it.
