The plan: watch the first 15 minutes or so and see where this is going. Reality: watched the whole thing in one sitting. Now I can't wait for the next one!!!!

I KNEW IT! I KNEW THOSE OPENING TITLES couldn't have been from the start of the show!!! I was born in the late 80s, so I wouldn't have watched the very first, original airing of Clarissa, BUT I became obsessed prob about 1993, and then watched the whole thing obsessively in syndication throughout the 90s... like a lot of people I think... But when you look at the intro, everyone, particularly Sam and Ferguson look much older in the intro.... So I would love to see the original opening

Not sure if you will see this Melissa, but I was a huge fan of Clarissa! I also watched Sabrina. I just wanted to tell you that you had a big impact on my life when I was younger. (I climbed out my bedroom window a time or two! Haha) Thank you and Bless you and your family! (I’m a mom too. My kids are 14, 10 and 3.❤️)

I love that actors and actresses who I grew up watching are rewatching their shows even if like here it is only one episode. My favorite episode of Clarissa is when she gets assigned to play the flute in the school band because it’s all there is left. It turns out she is so good that the band teacher gives her a solo for the next concert. As soon as she realizes she will have to play alone in front of an audience, she completely forgets how to play. The rest of the episode is Clarissa trying to overcome her stage fright and relearn the flute. I particularly love that episode because I was learning how to play the flute for my elementary school band at the same time. Also I thought the episode was really funny. This is an awesome show. I have seen now about 2.5 episodes and can’t get enough.

All the nostalgia! 😊 I remember taking the Nickelodeon Studios tour and seeing some of the “Clarissa” set through some windows in a room way up above. No filming going on at the time, though, unfortunately. And yes…Paramount+ did some really weird stuff with the way the seasons are split up. And I know there are at least couple of episodes missing. At some point while I was bingeing, I realized that the “Total TV” episode (Where Clarissa watches TV for 24 hours straight for a school project…) wasn’t there. And I know I also identified another lost one at the time, but which one it was escapes me now. I’ve been keeping a watch to see if they’ll fix it, but no such luck yet.

Also, when I took the Nickelodeon tour, I was very excited to see the Clarissa set… and I got to that area… looked down,.. and there was the set of (I believe) My Brother & Me…. I walked away a very sad person. Although, the cutest moment was still when the tour guide showed us where they filmed Are You Afraid of the Dark? And this very little boy responds “Yessssssss…….” (He was afraid of the dark) :P Was very cute

How the heck did you get a Family Double Dare obstacle course sign? That is too cool. BTW, in case anyone wants to know the guy that gave Sam the black eye, Wally Butterman. I just remembered that. I was thinking the other day about how everyone on that show that got referenced always had kind of a weird name. Like Soaperstein, or Cheesebrow, or Futstein or Angleberger. It's like did they live in a town full of Germans or something? This is all off the top of my head. That shows you how many times I have watched Clarissa.

The story about MJH's husband's first blunt text to Amanda about their son going over for a playdate cracked me up and made their family seem so relatable. Also, I had no idea that MJH had auditioned to be Mayim Bialik's best friend on Blossom at the same time she booked Clarissa. Wouldn't it be fun to have Mayim on the podcast to talk about "Call me Kat" and veganism? Also, I loved the tidbit about Joana García Swisher appearing on Clarissa; she'd be another great guest to have on (I've just been binging season two of "Sweet Magnolias"). After all, she and MJH have the Reba McEntire connection...Finally, great job creating the set, Amanda! So much attention to detail and Nick nostalgia.

So interesting about succession. I’ve currently been watching it. I think the thing is it has a lot of very unlikable characters. Like for me idk if I like it but I do think it gets more interesting. Especially season 2. Also love life I felt too took several episodes and I did love it but I can see why someone wouldn’t. Anyways thanks for sharing your thoughts. Glad you told me about the pod when we met at Christmas Con. I didn’t say this then but I loved No Good Nick as well wish Netflix had picked up more episodes! I’m sad all over again now thinking about it. I think a rewatch is in my future.

When Clarissa stole the corset was probably the closest episode that they tried to add a sexiness to Clarissa, and while it WAS a funny episode (the old west “cheese cloth” segment etc) it was a little out of character because it was one of those things that came from left field. Two of my personal favorites was the half pink denim jacket you wore a couple of times and the blue naval/military jacket from the beginning, but I don’t know if that’s the same jacket in later episodes that had the yellow ties across the back, or if those were two different jackets?
