I use my Dewalt 40amp battery chain saw for my stealth scavenging. I too have found some of my best wood finds in the driftwood areas I travel.

So u know the pants i was wearing are chainsaw cut proof pants and i was wearing steal toes, in my opinion its safer not to use gloves using a chainsaw because u get a better grip and feel for it with ur hands,..but thanks for the thought.
