That "secret" compressor is called the Vulf Compressor by a small company called Goodhertz. All their plugins are flame. Stop hoarding sounds and plugins, that's not the secret to being a good producer or musician, it's totally 100% how you use them.
@alexyoungbased7 жыл бұрын
Oh word, sorry bout that. That last part wasn't addressed toward you per say, but there is definitely a trend among a lot of producers who genuinely feel like the sounds and plugins are the secret. I think thats BS

lmao clearly you blind cause despite him jokingly say "secret compressor", he clearly has it visible on screen and you can see what it is. doesn't take a phD to figure out. sounds like you just salty from endlessly hunting after plugins that you think will automatically make you sound better.

Cool trick for adding grooves to MIDI clips, not sure if I've seen that. Protip: If your sample is just going to end up in a Simpler anyway it makes more sense to start the chopping in Simpler than the arrangement view. The grid will never get in your way, you can easily get your chops in time with the "warp as x bars" button or leave them unwarped, and if you have a pad controller you start banging those pads a lot sooner!

recently been getting into producing and this tutorial i found was amazing. One thing though that i didnt quite understand (and is an issue i face alot) is at 6:37 although the sample loops perfectly, It doesnt look like its exactly a 4 or 2 bar loop on the ableton map but it ends up not mattering at all. Its obviously a misunderstanding on my behalf but im just looking for some clarity so its something that i can learn. Sorry if i sound too nooby, thanks in advance to anyone who can help xx

Why does "Drums 1" end up in the groove pool at 9:19 when you ran it back? Is that an extracted groove from the drums that you played--which had the initial Salt--hung up groove on it? If so, how'd you get it in there?

Right on, i dig your tutorials MG. I come from using a rack sampler/MPC for like...2 decades... but am trying to now do everything "in the box" and lots of the capabilities of the software are still new to me. I still do a lot of stuff the old fashioned way - chopping and editing my samples in Soundforge, and actually doing tempo conversions in my head to get things within like 10% of each other so i can fine-tune within a hardware sampler. I'm still trying to get my head around the groove pool stuff because it seems like there's a world of potential there which i haven't even touched.

Alright, I'd be willing to guess that 95% of people in the U.S. pronounce it Rue-Let, which is where I'm guessing you and the majority of people watching this video reside, I guess you're just in that other 5%. Regardless, I don't care to argue about the pronunciation of roulette all night, thanks for the tutorial. Have a good one.
