taiwan & shanghi toilet: both makes men's toilet small and few. travel: both have women make bad attitude demands on men to carry their bags and drive them around. economic strength: both house world renowned companies, of the strongest the ownership falls to foreign entities. events and works: both try to mimic images of foreign origin. towards foreigners: women took 'the same' for every rights imaginable, but state 'you should play by local rule' when you mention there's responsibility they should undertake. women: both mask their discrimination against men '岐視男性' problems above, by repeating the discrimination against women '岐視女性' word. men: both lowers their head in front of feminist (or whoever is overshadowing them at the moment); focus on money. language: both speak dialogs of chinese origin. history: shanghi was broken into concession areas in 1842; taiwan exchange hands from netherlands to japan to KMT to feminists. one to one thinking pattern. one to one relationship.

@@mrsnrub282 There are ancient Hindu scriptures that describe quite well the effects and after effects of nuclear detonations. Oppenheimer even made some reference to them. I wonder - if we do get a nuclear winter, will that produce an ice age? An ice age would pretty much grind anything under hundred of thousands of tons of ice. There would not be much left of what came before, between the blasts and the crushing, grinding effect of advancing glaciers. Was the previous ice age preceded by a nuclear winter? Hopefully not, and hopefully that is not our future. Perhaps this is just mad speculation on my part....

Testing nukes above ground is different from strategic nuking of population centers. The difference is the firestorms caused by the burning cities. The resulting firestorms would throw billions of tons of radioactive dust and ash into the atmosphere. This dust will circle the globe within a few days, and it will go above the weather so it won’t be washed out for years. This will reduce solar radiation reaching the ground, and cause global temperatures to drop. More importantly, the decreased solar radiation (up to 70%) will cause global crop failure. Cities have approximately 3 months of supplies before they run out of food, so there would be worldwide starvation within a year due to the loss of agriculture, and that’s not even taking into account the destruction of the ability of china and the us to trade with pretty much anyone. Global trade would break down completely, and civilization would be set back centuries, assuming the human race survived.

Its actually worse. Since the only way to take out silos is by groundburst that means fallout a lot of it. In an optimistic scenario severe fallout would reach as far as Indiana killing 20 million. Even if US losses are only a fraction of Chinese ones, they are still way too high for them to accept the excange. The result is mutual destruction. Just like North Korea and South Korea, this is why North Korea can still exist. It is nothing more than a change of regime, and North Korea will continue to exist because it has nuclear weapons to protect itself.

I think the opposite will happen. The world economy will take initial, and frankly, massive damage only to improve afterwards. China is siphoning alot of ressources and is the world largest producer. A nuclear war would likely end that and you would have a lot of third world countries rallying to take its place. India, Brasil, Indonesia etc. There are alot of countries not being able to compete with china now. But china eliminated, would cause a broader distribution of competing producer countries, that would feed the still existing european, canadian, australian markets etc. as well as be able to compete now on the chinese and us market, since their own is distroyed. The worlds demand doesn't simply go away and a temporary outage in the chain will simply nourish a new competitor.

@bliblablubb9590
@bliblablubb9590 3 жыл бұрын
@@mxn1948 I'm just thinking about what happened in real life history. Europe was the biggest market pre WW1 and WW2. Did destroying the worlds biggest market have the collapse of world economy as a consequence? No, it did for europe, but the world as a whole? The loss of economic dominance accelerated simply the rise of the US and, even after a devastating war, the soviet union. And as the video stated, the nuclear conflict would probably kill a good 23% of chinas population, that is massive and on a human level absolut tragic, but survivable for a society and low enough to guarantee a rebound. Most countries would probably even use the post war confusion to confiscate the chinese loan-payed assets, like the massive infrastructure projects in the philipines, deescalating many problems african and asian countries currently face. My point is, china and the us would fuck themselves up, while the rest of the world counts their money. Since the dollar and yuan would collapse, the US and china would probably have to sell vital ressource rights away to have enough money for a rebuild, which again, benefits everyone except the warring factions. I'm not saying that the war will have no negative economic effect (as I predict: the immediate collapse of dollar and yuan, supply shortages etc. will wreck havoc), what I predict is a faster rebound than many in the comments predict.

Looking at the aftermath of WW2, and assuming "limited" nuclear exchange won't trigger a catastropic climate change worldwide (i.e. nuclear winter), I think recovery will be pretty quick. Questions are being asked over the effectiveness of the blast off nuclear explosion against multistory building designed with earthquake protection and in close proximity. The effective blast radius man be reduced to under a kilometer as against 1.5 _ 1.8 km currently projected. Airburst nuclear devices may have similar reduction in destructive force. We saw in the second nuclear bomb dropped on Japan concrete buildings withstanding the blast. Obviously the new weapons are higher yield but building technology is also better.

You can’t underestimate a number, they have 270-300 nuclear warheads, so that’s the maximum they could do What’s the under estimation? What, they got a gajillion nukes or something that only the randoms online know about?
@bleung2274
@bleung2274 3 жыл бұрын
@@looinrims I think the underestimation is the potential insanity involved when it comes to strategic decisions. Everyone assumes that the nukes are aimed at the other country, but what happens when you have a government willing to sacrifice their own people if they think they have nothing to lose? The States shouldn't have any issue defending themselves (as in the North American continent), but what are they supposed to do if China is "insane" enough to nuke the SEA region? It's unlikely the US could react if China decides to drop their payloads within the region. We like to assume that "they'll make rational decisions", but the past has proven that they don't always do that. Typically by the time things escalate to a nuclear war, people aren't thinking rationally anyways. Trying to predict the behaviour of old men used to complete control with "nothing left to lose" is like playing Russian roulette, you don't know when they'll flip, or when they'll be convinced that "their people" would be better off dead than conquered, and China already has plenty of experience with that after the century of humiliation. It isn't really bizarre on their part if they think it would be better to drag others down with them and go out with a bang. The question then becomes, if China can successfully irradiate the entire SEA region (so S. Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, India, Malaysia, etc) , what is the States supposed to do about their allies who have to live with the fallout, assuming they survive? Humanitarian efforts alone would already strain the economy, and that's assuming none of the fallout gets to the States. Would North America just throw up its hands and leave them to die? Is North America prepared to sustain its national economy without any form of trade with the entire Asian continent?
@looinrims
@looinrims 3 жыл бұрын
@@bleung2274 there’s a lot wrong here First there is no precedent for how people act when nuclear war happens because nuclear war hasn’t happened Second China has no purpose in nuking many of its neighbors Third China does not have the nukes to flatten all of its neighbors as suggested, there’s a misconception that mutually assured destruction applies to every nuclear power, this isn’t true, only america and Russia can turn each other into glass, China cannot and certainly not so with multiple nations Fourth these nations are economically dependent on China, and this only is growing, it’s like America nuking Canada like okay, congrats you lost a major trade partner Fifth 300~ warheads will not irradiate an entire continent, it’s not even enough to irradiate the whole of China itself, certain nations like South Korea and Japan, yes most probably, all of China’s neighbors? Definitely not irradiated I don’t think you fully understand the subject
@bleung2274
@bleung2274 3 жыл бұрын
@@looinrims The precedent isn't based off of nuclear war, it's based off of the Chinese history of the government sacrificing the people in order to gain nearly nothing. It's pretty much a hallmark of the Chinese people to make pointless sacrifices. We did it when the Mongolians invaded centuries ago, we did it when the Japanese invaded years ago, we butchered our own people and to this day, we still do - because fact of the matter is: the Chinese don't see all other Chinese as being "one people" even if the party slogan says that. As a nation and as a people, the nation has never hesitated when it comes to killing our own: it's just that we have a large enough population to support it. So we cut corners when it comes to production knowing it will kill people, we cut corners when it comes to procedures, knowing that more people will die. Again - as a native, I can tell you that trying to base our behaviour off of rationality is somewhat misguided. Yeah, as individuals we might make rational decisions: but the party as a whole has always been erratic. From engineering initiatives to diplomatic initiatives, there is a consistent trend of projects that "make sense on paper" yet end up costing our own people in the long run. We did it with the one child policy. We did it with the national reeducation program. It's a common joke in Chinese circles: we aren't afraid of the States, we're afraid of our own people deciding one day to run ourselves into the ground. Yet that's a sad reality that's happening: a nuclear war would only accelerate it. I can understand why you're looking at this through rationality. It makes sense - we should be rational. But historically we have never been rational, so it's odd for us to make rational choices now. As a nation we stayed alive because we had enough bodies to throw into the grinder. That was how we won the wars, that is how we keep our economy "afloat". I'm assuming you know more about how radiation works than I do, so I'll cede that to you, if you believe that China nuking itself will have no effect on the SEA region then so be it. Perhaps you're right that if the Eastern coastline is gone, the rest of the coutnry can still survive. From a Chinese perspective I'd disagree, but to each their own.
