I completely disagree about the shadow fruit! The main use of the shadow fruit isn’t making zombies, that’s just how we see Gecko using it. But in the hands of a different wielder I can imagine him using it in all sorts of different ways! Like instead of tearing out peoples shadows, he’d develop techniques to bind them with their own shadows, or make peoples shadows turn on them! And that’s not even taking into account the infinite malleability he can give himself through his own shadow! I actually think, out of all the devil fruits this one fits luffy the most! As it allows his creativity to flow and go WILD!

The swapping place abilities of the shadow fruit easly beats croc, the shadow is immune to crocs touch and sand attacks, sea prism stone is shown throughout the story having no affect on byproducts of devil fruits so the shadow would easily escape the cage and the ability to change the shadow into whatever you want is a well of potential in the hands of someone like luffy

I feel like the shadow fruit could actually be very powerful in the hands of someone as creative as Luffy. Moria used Shadow Revolution on Oars to manipulate his shadow and make him stretch so if Luffy figures out how to do that to himself then he has complete control of the shape and form of his body. I’m sure I don’t need to state how strong Luffy could make that ability.

Actually if Luffy had the sand fruit, he would probably lose to arlong, or Hody assuming he didn't lose the previous. They both used water related attacks which hard counter the sand fruit and also Luffy didn't know Haki that early on.

@@9hundun516 Luffy's strength in the beginning relied alot on his DF. The rubber ability allowed him to reach far with his limbs and attack from a distance and also to not feel blunt attacks. So it does matter, the sand fruit relies on different things and it's power is mainly in the movement, and ability to suck you dry (giggity). So if you get wet and can't use those advantages, you're likely to lose if you can't get close enough, even if you're physically stronger

For Luffy having a Croc's df power. I think we shouldn't think that Luffy will fight with the same technique as Croc since Luffy's fighting nature is his fist. I disagree with the sand fruit ending at kaido and big mom, Luffy would have to learn haki much earlier and while yes he would have a MUCH easier time in the east blue, the sand fruit comes with abilities that would potentially allow him to one shot kaido and big mom. First off he could cause the giant rocks of onigashima and the buildings within to crumble into sand with his dehydrating touch, giving him a mini desert to work with against kaido and big mom. big mom would get clowned on as well by the dehydrating touch to her head or torso, imagine all the fluid in your head or internal organs just going poof, big mom would die in an instant as she shrivels up into dehydrated dust and sand further fuelling sand Luffy's pocket desert. kaido however could potentially summon rain clouds so without haki training i do think that obviously he would get rolled over but i think that his training for haki with Rayleigh would be FAR more intense as rayleigh would have to beat the technique into him effectively simulating the haki blooms that Luffy would've ended up experiencing in the main story, allowing him to run it up with kaido. I think that against kaido he wouldn't be able to one shot him like with big mom but i think rather than multiple losses i think luffy and kaido would essentially reach a standstill as kaido would still get to hit him extremely hard, he would HAVE to focus on keeping rain going to stop luffy from wringing him out like a towel, thus the haki progression would continue as normal and then the second that kaido goes down below into onigashima where there is no rain luffy would entirely destroy him with one single touch, the sand fruit is NUTTY broken with that literal death touch, granted admirals like kuzan and akainu would be massive threats still but to say that kaido and big mom would end the run there i think is just flat out wrong

Luffy was only able to defeat kaido because of recovery and toughness nature of zoan fruit and the strength of gear 5 awakened luffy was essential in defeating kaido. Luffy with a paramecia would never have survived long enough to strengthen his haki enough to rivel that of kaidio. He would have died on the spot when CP0 interfered.
