IlDecapxtator- {73MH} I forgot about that absolute nightmare. For those who don’t know, there’s an exoplanet several times the size of earth, that _doesnt have a crust or mantle. _*_It only has a core._* The only reason it’s bigger than Earth is because from the core up, it’s nothing but water. Nothing else. Water. That’s it. Imagine if Subnautica was empty for thousands of miles. Nightmare fuel. Edit: The planet is called "Gliese 1214 b." Edit again: New info on it--it's crazy hot. Water makes up about half of its total mass, almost down to its core. The oceans are a thousand kilometers deep. Challenger Deep is 11km. It's so hot the water can't become ice, and so dense that it can't evaporate or boil either. I think this made it worse...have fun with this accursed information.

That would be an interesting sci-fi premise though. You always hear about other planets and asteroids being harvested for water, metal ores, minerals, and such. @AnotherWacko - Another reason is because diamonds aren't actually worth anything. Aside from their value in scientific or industrial applications, the value of diamonds is 100% artificial, created by the diamond companies. In fact, diamonds are so plentiful and so unremarkable that it'd be surprising if another species cared about them at all. Rubies, Emeralds, other gems; those are another matter entirely, of course.
