If The Beatles had stayed together, how do you think the history of music changes?
@cactaceous
@cactaceous Жыл бұрын
They had already done it all. Going by the next few years after the breakup, John and George released great music as they always had but only until 1973 when the still had great songs but they were fewer and far between. Paul continued his streak of corny, cheesy commercially driven sentimentally tinged songs. He after 1966 just mostly composed songs soaked in estrogen. His solo career was and is incredibly disappointing. Sure he had hits but his music was mostly insufferable.

I've been a clingy person before, but if your guy is at work. He is at work. I have watched a lot of the footage, and she was up his hind end too much. I can't blame them for being frustrated. Imagine trying to work, and your girl is right beside you.

I am not a Yoko fan but Beatles fanatic (even though I am also a fan but not an extremist) keep blaming Yoko when John also was at fault. The two had a soul tie that I have always seen a kinda cuckoo LOL but to each their own. Oh, people think Yoko was a nobody like I did in the past until I talked to a Japanese who told me she was part of the Japanese nobility and her family is close to their emperor's family. Yoko was considered a rebel and I think her artistic side was the one that drew in John Lennon given that she is not really pretty.

Back in 1967 John Lennon bought Dorinish Island, a 93 acre island off the west coast of Ireland, he paid 1,700 pound for it...

She is an artist but since I am not into avant-garde because I am more into the more traditional art interpretations, I just don't get her but obviously John Lennon did since for me they are both kinda cuckoo.

How many of her albums have you listened to? Ever heard Feeling the Space? Approximately Infinite Universe? What is talented? She was a competent and interesting singer of the style of music she wrote.

@@sylviaelizabethclarecholic2073 Hello again. The albums I mention show that she is talented. When John met her she was on the BBC News after they had done a report on her art. When John met her she had a gallery exhibition not in a small town, but in London. When John met her she had come to England after doing gallery exhibitions like in the AG Gallery in New York City since 1961. When John met her she had been involved with Fluxus in New York City since the early 60’s. When John met her she had already published a book. When John met her she was already in John Cage’s circle. You don’t know who John Cage is, that’s on you. Was she completely mainstream famous and popular? No. Was she a successful artist? Yes.

I took three things away from Peter Jackson's 2021 Get Back. 1) Yoko Ono quietly minded her own business and had nothing to do with the demise of the band 2) George walked because he was sick of Paul disrespectfully treating him like an inadequate sideman and 3) the George/Paul episode aside, they still seemed to enjoy each others company and working together. They were simply ready to move on to their solo careers.

Ringo left the Beatles several times before the break up. That's why he did so well and is continuing the make great music. I was lucky enough to meet and watch George Harrison play in a guitar shop in Adelaide Australia. George was the older brother of them all. 🙏✌️💛🇦🇺

John insisting that Yoko be in the studio all the time was incredibly selfish of him, I applaud Paul, George and Ringo for having the patience and understanding to deal with it when anyone else would have just taken a stand and said "John, get her out of here".

John and George had the closest relationship of any of the Beatles. They both were more similar than they were with Paul and Ringo. They bonded quite a lot through their acid experimentation. Tripping together many, many times something they didn’t do with Ringo and certainly not with Paul who barely took acid and when he did, he took it with other people. John and George also bonded strongly over their shared interest in the spiritual, sharing books, going to lectures and they were the two who truly took meditation seriously, staying in India by far the longest after Ringo left within days and Paul after a few weeks. Also they were both into health consciousness.

It seems to me that the people who want to blame Yoko for breaking-up The Beatles just want an easy answer as to why their favorite band didn't stay together forever, and anything more complicated than "it's her fault" confuses them.
