Went last September and did Sa Calobra twice, both times left the hotel in Playa de Muro at 7am and hit the climb around 9ish when it was deserted, perfect uninterrupted descent and a no cars on the climb as I recall, certainly no coaches. It’s the only way to do it if you ask me.

Could’ve been passed that traffic though

When was this? I did Sa Calobra this year (31st Oct) and it was quiet. Only a couple of tour buses and not too many cars. However in mid Oct I rode to Cap de Formentor and it was rammed!

It was 29th September this year

Interestingly, Cap de Formentor wasn't too bad for us. Was the road closed to cars for you?

No it was open and the car park at lighthouse was packed and there was a tailback of around 30 cars blocking road. Chaotic.

Must have been fantastic. I was a bit earlier in the season, and possibly a bit slower getting there!!!

Best to come early or late, and those coaches are far too big for those roads, they should limit them to half the size.

Yes indeed - pretty intimidating at times

Darn cyclists. Look how much traffic they are causing😉😀. Don't they know they should ride on the cycle lane🙃, even when there is no cycle lane.
