You should also print off your vaccination proof. If you go into the NHS app and click vaccine passport for travel then it'll come up with QR codes and then at the bottom it'll say something like "download PDF version". I do this whenever I'm travelling so you don't have to rely on wifi

Do you recommend getting travel insurance to cover the whole contract? My son is based in the UK but is about to join RCCL in Miami, he'll be away for 13 months. I can see that RCCL cover some medical stuff, but we're wondering if you think baggage/gadget only is enough, or whether he needs something more comprehensive in case he gets injured while ashore!? First contract as a Sous Chef (the first female on ever for POA), I join the ship on 03/03/2022 in Portland. Pride of America (NCL) will leave Portland for Hawaii mid March, and get our first guests in early April. I am really nervous to read my contract, as communication has been terrible from my many handlers (I am sure mostly COVID related) and I have no idea what has changed in the five months since I signed my provisional contract.

@@morganbaldwin4828 yes, it is very chaotic right now. Staffing is really hard. But I had a blast. I was scheduled to work 4.5 months, but I was extended and ended up working almost 6 months. It will all mostly make sense when you get on the ship. Just hang in there. Everyone freaks out the first few weeks, but then it all comes together:

Im working on my TWIC and US merchant mariner credential now. Thinking about water purification aboard cruise ships. Based on what I have read it sounds like that work is contracted out to the companies that install them. Enjoy your videos, there are a couple of other channels about life aboard cruise ships as well and they are all enjoyable.
