If anybody is interested: - the last upgrade for the town-hall will cost you 100.000 gold, so beware - if you are trying to collect 100.000, there is a challenge that requires you to have 250.000 gold at once in your town treasury, so HOLD! - once you've completed the 250k gold challenge, you can remove 100.000 from the treasury so you can upgrade your town-hall to maximum.

Pro tip for good disenchanting rares, you can use the bad rares from shipping, they usually are level 86 and have high tier mods that salvage for more than the average id rare

Exactly. It gets you the Same Mount of Gold es you get of ore. So depending in your setup you get ~4-8 k gold extra per map. T 16 ambush/world/shrine/niko

The multiplying value of dust seems to asymptotically approach zero as you get closer to 3x your base shipment value. In terms of dust efficiency it seems like ~2.5 is the sweet spot.

Got my first T10 mapper, the squad failed the third 99% success map and he died. I love/hate that there's always a chance they can die, it takes a decent chunk of gold to get high tier mappers and they don't bring in much. It would be so cool if we could add 1 scarab to their maps as well to influence the kind of rewards they bring in.

Mappers are really special and the RNG factor of running them all is huge. For example, I ran T6 maps, all full, all 100% completion and it took 2 hours. 3 of 30 maps had a div in it, and I used tools to calculate currency and it came out to 9.2 div for 2 hours, so 4.6 per hour for me.

Started typing this up as Empy was talking, and he ended up discussing around the 9 minute mark. Going ahead and commenting anyway to verify it can happen, and cause the algorithm demands engagement. A big thing I learned: DO NOT OVERSMELT! Town upgrades are the most important thing and require raw ores often. I was being a newb and hiring folks for all the jobs, and happened to get some really efficient smelters. They were able to keep up with my ability to tag ores and smelted everything. I am now sitting with verisium bars but a town upgrade that needs raw verisium ore, even when I did not have any assigned to verisium. With the rarity of verisium, this is pretty painful. I'm sure eventually once I get the town upgrades, I will get to catch up some by having those bars ready so long term its not probably as big of a deal, but right now it feels like I am twiddling my thumbs waiting to get lucky so I can continue progression. I ended up making just a go-fast atlas tree that is just shrines/niko/scarabs so I can blast through and scout for ores. Its currency/hour is probably much worse than the alternatives, but I am just trying to do the best I can while I maximize ores/hour.

The dust scaling theory was that the shipment value you get from dust isn't the same as the rarity of rewards that you get from it. I see dust's diminishing impact on shipment value as a way for you to be able to dump as much dust as you want onto a shipment without guaranteeing that the cargo will be lost.

at 9:00 I encountered this problem, removed verisium smelters, lost all my ores again and completely shut down the smelting part. I think it's a bug or sometihng edit: also, the ship gear rewards are insane for disenchanting. They easily disenchant for 8k+ dust, while low level mappers or even your map drops are kinda bad in comparison

I really don't see the reason beyond the suggested upgrading priority. Gold will be a major limiting factor while upgrading the town fully and therefore rolling and sustaining top level workers will be very difficult. With lackluster workers your farms will also not output enough to make upgrading them worth it early on. If you level Miners first you will not only get more ores, but also get gold whenever you find ore passively. Also if you want to really focus on farming gold, synthesis maps drop a surprising amount of gold

if you progress your atlas slower than your town then you end up in a cycle of nearly always being broke with gold because the amount of gold u get in maps does not synergies with the lvl of the workers aka gold/hour and the reroll cost to hire them if ur town is high lvl, "took my time with the atlas, and ended up having to stress my ass of to sustain the gold because i was in low reds when i should have been in t16s" im sure some people can relate lol

@@johneboy216 juiced T17 is many times more difficult than the synthesised memory map though. It's not even cortex or uber cortex, these are monster level 81 maps that aren't harder than your usual red map. And you can do maven invitation rota with them too, which is nice added bonus. We are day seven of the league and only absolute nolife sweatypants have characters strong enough to leisurely farm juiced T17 or uber bosses. Most of us struggle and these memory maps are great solution for them.

Sort of Easter Egg: If shipment gets high jacked, you have the option to rescue it. I believe this is a Kiracs vault pass thing. plus boss gives unique drops and massive gold. When defeat him you can then have your ship continue it's journey. So not sure if you would want to put shipments at a higher chance to get high jacked just to fight this guy over and over or not?

Agree with blighted and blight-ravaged maps being awful for gold. Maybe a few thousand for a blight-ravaged map in my experience. As someone who normally plays a lot of blight it's feeling very meh this league especially with the div card nerfs from last league. Double anoints have potential but chances of getting a good one are pretty slim.

how to sustain Gold cost as a simple 2 hours a day gaming and working man? I can do maybe 15-30 maps a day x 10k makes 150k-300k gold. @@TheZackzable Thanks for the info and sucks to hear PoE agitates your pain. I suspect one of the reasons your left hand is hurting is because your hand is twisted 90°. For example, stand up and let your hands fall down to your side. Now make an L shape by bending your elbow and swinging your hand out in front. Notice how your palm is vertical. Now rotate your hand clockwise and slide it to the right so it is front of you -- this causes your arm to be at a different yaw. Notice how your arm is at a weird bent shape. Have you looked at vertical split ergonomic keyboards like Kinesis so that your: * palm is more vertical? * arm is more straight instead of rotated? I too am very close to having to quite PoE for good so just trying to help you get a few last "hours".
