I think the part people are missing is that loud budgeting really means you don’t have to feel pressured to spend because those around you understand why you aren’t. Telling people I don’t have the money to spend on dinner out might be socially awkward, but this has made it a way to say it to your friends without sucking it up and going along with the crowd.

The dumbest trend phrase -- set your budget and stick with it. And love that the "high yield savings account" was misinterpreted in closed captions as "high heel savings account".

What is wrong with people, the WTF is loud budgeting, and why does everything you do, have to have a name. People grow up, already. If you don't have the money, you don't have money, I really don't get it. Everything that is done, is on social media, can't you people do anything else, for God's sake. This is dumb. Being frugal is not dumb, but the fact that someone has to be “loud” about it to justify to other people that they are being frugal. It’s your money and your lifestyle, who cares what others think. Be yourself and do what’s best for you.
