Do you need to replace your soil in your hanging baskets each year or can it be fertilized? Thank you for sharing
@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses Жыл бұрын
@@denisewessman1079 it should be replaced each year, unless you have very large containers which can just be added to with new, fresh soil or top-dressed.

@@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses thank you. So often at certain sites, they discouraged you from changing soil. It makes perfect sense for the nutrients to be absorbed by the previous year’s plant.

What do you do about hanging baskets that you bought and they are very lightweight. When overflowing plants like Calibrachoa, I am afraid of destroying the plant. I am sure the soil is no good.

Try transplanting them into a larger basket (with good soil.) kzbin.info/www/bejne/inXXdXyMpbl2ebs

I find this video very important and I agree ,becouse I see my mistakes, so what soil is the better to create mixwith ,compost ,peat ,and perlite a little it s OK to use ?

We use Jolly Gardener or SunGro soils in our own greenhouses. We've been using them for decades. Good soils should have about 50% peat (or the alternative peat since peat is becoming a depleted natural resource) and a little perlite is fine. You can find SunGro online here: beatyourneighbor.com/shop/soil/

What can I do about flower bulbs not flowering I get the green foliage but no flowers

Gotta disagree with you on perlite, perlite aids in getting oxygen to the roots. Because it has perlite does not mean it's a crappy soil. Also just because a soil is expensive does not always mean that it's better. Many expensive souls contain costly ingredients that aren't always necessary. Find a good middle of the road growing medium that works for you and stick with it. Agree with you on using what the growers use, I personally use Promix bx, with great results.

Could you please give us some pointers on how to take care of the orchids that are gifted to us? And maybe encourage to re-bloom?
