would be nice to see games where everyone is recording their screen with people building abyssal stone to see how much the anti CDR actually goes off. With enough data we can have a pretty good idea of how good it is which is likely to be based of individual understanding of when to use it to get the anti CDR more consistently to prevent a jump or some other annoying ability.

All my major changes Phalanx to A: makes you completely unkillable in solo due to the extra prots it gives (the att speed is more a bonus rn) Midguard to A: helps dive and ability to stay alive for solo laners Frostbound to A: the internal cooldown makes it not an aa warrior item and on someone like Achilles who auto cancels really locks down whoever they are diving Chronos to A: only mids that should by it is Janus and Tiamat since you usually won’t be going pendulum and gives you so much cd to proc you item. Also is very solid on many guardians given you know what you are doing as a supp. Runeforge to B: really not that good once you get out of solo and there are too many other good glyphs like stronghold or red pridwen that you would rather build. You much rather have prots with items able to proc them rather than a bunch of hp Jotunns and crusher to A: not that these aren’t good but just aren’t on par with the other S tier items, especially jotunns. Most of the top tier ability jgs are going pridwen and glad which makes jotunns cd unneeded. Crusher you could argue but I don’t think it’s as good as the other S tier items Starters: Archmages is just bad imo and should be C or D Everything else is okay maybe moving sentinels to S just because it is the best support start imo

I think phalanx is pretty underrated. The passive remains unchanged so you still gain 71 phys and 21 magical prots, as well as the 30%AS at max stacks, which you'll get easily both in lane and teamfights.

Gilded arrow non-crit upgrade is my go-to if I'm building full-mage adc but don't want to use bluestone. It's like 75% attack speed, 10%pen, and the bonus damage on autos when fully stacked. Only thing holding it back is it can be hard to stack sometimes. But having a full mage adc build go from 1.7 to like 2.3 attack speed off of 1 kill is massive. Used to like memeing around with it and silverbranch for some nutty power swings. Probably worse than bluestone in most situations, but still nice if you need a LOT of attack speed. Plus bonus gold is always nice. Love the vids btw :D

hey guys just did some math on crusher + power vs glad shield + prots. glad shield has an average max damage per ability of 95 at max prots, crusher has an average damage of 99 with 85 power. disclaimer this is assuming an average ability power scaling of 70% per ability and not factoring in pen or prots for damage mitigation. so given that crusher eclipses glad shields damage full build at two items I would say that glad shiled is not a S-tier item its A at best and only on 3 gods KA, chu-chu, and Tyr.

In duel, Abyssal Stone can have a massive effect, especially on mages that rely on their cooldowns. Because Abyssal Stone can only affect one player, it's far less useful in the team fight stage of conquest. It's hybrid protections makes it an awkward pickup at the 1v1 stage and it's passive makes it an awkward pickup at the team fight stage. I think that Genji's should be reworked into Abyssal as a full magic defense item with mana sustain. I think it would better occupy the spot of your first item into a mage solo. I will say, this would allow for less counterplay from mages because they can't force the passive proc at an inopportune time, but the awkwardness of Genji's passive is why I've never liked it and I always build it just for the stats.

You missed the mark on the crit arrow assessment. With it, You can make the ultimate late game hunter. Arrow, Dev's, quins,exe, dominance and death bringer. Best of both worlds, gg.

Warlock staff is probably the best first item you can build. It doesn't give early pressure but you're not plahin for that anyway. The big thing is Warlock + Ethereal : any mage gets 3k HP with ethereal's passive. You become SO tanky it's insane and those 3k hp have saved me more times than I can count. Also Typhon gives the most damage out of all the 20% pen items : you get 80 instead of 65 That + the lifesteal makes it on par with Charon's for me. If you don't need the movespeed, consider going Typhon it's really good. Same thing with gods that don't proc Obsydian well (like Merlin, Tiamat, Poseidon etc)

Now it's out of meta rn but I have been having so much more success with Crit builds on hunters. Ornate, Devo, Demon Blade, Deathbringer, Dominance, then Failnot. Idk why it's just been CHUNKING all the tanks in my way laltely.

While I agree that gladiator shield is really good, it isn’t what it is making the proc build overpowered. Between the base stat nerfs and the across the board protection reduction on items has overall been a nerf to the item itself. It’s just one proc in an overpowered proc build, and it’s not any part of the overpowered parts of the build.

Abyssal Stone's passive is fairly noticeable in MOTD - Omnipotence / Omnipotence Draft, especially if you're on the receiving end. In a regular game it feels pointless or may be more noticeable against gods with very low cooldowns.

Don’t think it’s super needed to go both anymore. Probably just Thebes then buy like manticore pridwen binding spiritrobe. And potentially things like pest or contagion, relic dagger, or sov. Kuzenbo and yemoji build different but for most it’s going to be those items

I really think Silverbranch is going to be more viable now that the stack cap is 40 in the new patch. I have a feeling it might replace Titan's Bane in the hunter build since that's technically an ability-based item in an auto attack build.

quick question , does obsidian shard passive works beyond cap ? exemple : you're 40% pen with charon coin and obshard then you're first ability is 60% pen or is it just a wasted passive ?

I got a build for you. First go the gilded arrow into the ornate arrow at 20. Then go bloodforge or devours gauntlet, I prefer bloodforge because of aggression. Gleaming ear cuffs for your third item. Quins for your fourth. Dominance for your fifth. Sixth fail not or death bringer. I personally prefer fail not because it's so stat bloated and even if the tank builds anti-crit I still shred them. Also, for a side note, I prefer this build on hachiman or Ishtar, even Medusa. For anyone else, I would probably take out the gleaming ear cuffs and add Odysseus or executioner or whatever you like. But yeah I would like to see you try this build and let me know your feedback on it.

I know people think Crit is trash but honestly this build. I haven't had many downsides to it, besides like auto attacking the towers in phoenixes for like 120 or so, but that really doesn't matter when you can just shred everyone down and then get to the objectives.

I think too many people sleep on Ornate Arrow. Pre-10.6 I stick that thing on Artemis, Probably swap out Dominance for Silverbranch (R.I.P.) and bitch*s would melt. Post-10.6 I still find myself using it more than any other starter.

@@mando3027 Crit is bad because spectral is just too good. Giving the solo probably diving you free power and tickling them down while they can cc you into more dmg isn’t that good. If you are ahead with Crit you will slap but if not you are going to be struggling especially since you don’t have too much attack speed in the build

Wow thanks for the super! Personally not a huge fan of having to hold 2k gold for the item but tbf games are going late rn so could be doable. And yeah fail not is so bloated stat-wise. At max potential that build does have a lot of most stats. Little lacking in pen especially if you go DB not failnot but other than that seems decent.

i actually think hydras lament is better than crusher. if you can hit two hydras procs you are out damaging or doing about even damage (slightly less) with 4 crusher procs depending on if you clip your initial crusher proc

I play a lot of casual with my friends who are definitely NOT at all serious players, so in pretty much every casual mode, Sentinels Boon is the better of the two Sentinels starter items. In everything but Conquest, you're almost always fighting around waves and siegeing towers. Its basically 600+ heal every 30 seconds, letting you brawl and poke and pull back and sustain wildly in those modes. I *absolutely* fucking agree its garbage in Conquest where you're rarely fighting around waves by that point, though.

In today's Meta you NEED to play a character that has built in power. Like Herc from his passive or Tyr 3 and Fen 2. Also sentinels as a support will always be a must. I don't want to hear it. Thebes, cloak, sov, heart and sentinels. Your team will be TANKY

I also disagree. While tyr and fen are great herc really isn’t. The good solo laners are ones who proc the items the most. I would say in terms of solo rav, Thor, rat, ach, tyr, shiva, and Horus are all way better than herc with others being debatable. The power is nice but not everything. Also sentinels is the best supp starter but compassion and benevolence have their place on people like terra and yemoja. Also prophetic and heartward really aren’t needed in support anymore and would rather than something like binding, pridwen, or manticore

maybe im just ignorant but how is 100 bad when all of the spears give you maximum of 70. plus you build soil reaver or poly and your getting extra. so why is Book of thoth bad? kind like when you say arondite isnt good when its actually stat wise better than jotuns. you can get 40 percent coold down easily

Book doesn’t give you cd or pen like deso. Soul reaver with the build only gives you 12 more power which is basically nothing. Something like warlocks will give you 110 power hp mana and percent pen which is just all better than what book is giving. Pen rn is just way more important for a mage then power. If you test out some meta builds you will really see how much less dmg you are doing late game and early. Same for arondight not giving the pen but I do agree jotunns is not as good as he states although it is 400 gold cheaper than arondight and gives a huge power spike early

The issue is book of Thoth's sole purpose is to provide high power and it requires stacking. Other items give less power, sure. But they don't need to stack and have other useful stats like CDR, passives, etc.

I'm begging people to stop talking about how 'good' tanks are right now! They CAN compete with carries and have different strong points, BUT JUST BECAUSE TANKS ARE VIABLE DOESN'T MEAN THEY'RE STRONG. I feel like the community's collective memory has been completely obliterated by the last few months of utter carry dominance. It used to be that playing tank didn't automatically put you at a disadvantage. Now that they brought balance back ppl are saying HOW STRONG solo and support and bruiser jungles are just because they aren't losing 75%+ of the time. I strongly feel like people aren't used to playing against under-powered tanks so by comparison it feels like they are OP. I think after a few more weeks of play (and the inevitable overly heavy handed reverts HiRez will dole out) we'll be back to tanks being the punching bags of conquest
