I just got to ar 40 the enemies aren't that hard its just abit of a challange maybe you have your artifacts and talents low I got my Baidou with 4 4star artifacts maxed out and also 1 5 star artifact maxed also my Baidou is maxed to 80 and her talents are all lvl 6 If your really struggling and really desperate just use food items (I'm f2p btw)

I’ve had a lot of direction changes while playing this game and didn’t realize I should have been saving my resources along the way (mora, 3* & 4* artifacts, heroes wit, etc) and I’m AR 39 right now. I wish there were better ways to get resources. It makes it harder to play the game longer the higher level you get to. EDIT: main reason why I’ve spent so many materials is because I’ve wanted to experiment with teams and characters to see what I like. It’s hard to get a feel for someone when they’re so low level. I’ve often leveled someone up to 50 and not use them anymore. This game can be brutal with resources and it sucks so much more in the late game.

Just a new tip for those who suddenly went from any world level to world level 5 and are scared to farm: In paimon menu there’s a option “ ❕” click that and u can lower world level meaning bosses and elites will have lower levels but ur drop rate will also get lower It’s still good tho i’m ar40 but I made my world level 4 so I can lvl my characters up and ascend until then when you’re done you can revert back to world level 5

Well, another thing you can do from 40 to 45 is pre-farm the ascension materials, mora and exp to level 90 on your main DPS. That way, you can focus exclusively in artifacts from 45 to 50.

Actually you don't need to level up your main dps to its max limit at AR 40 because a level 70 and a level 80 hero's stat isn't that different from each other. The weapon though, if you maximize your weapon, you may gain 50-100 more attack depending on what your weapon's sub stat. I'd suggest every player to maximize their weapons first before maximizing their hero's exp because the weapon's sub stat will upgrade every 5 levels.

you shouldn't max your character's level until you're able to ascend. you will accumulate exp on your way to ar45 which can save you a few exp books plus the stats difference aren't that big compared to maxing out your weapons and skills.

Gotta say, out of all the videos I have watched, this has been the most helpful. I hit AR40 maybe a month ago and AR45 just recently. I was totally underpowered when I hit AR45 and have been grinding since to get my team up to speed. Definitely staying on AR45 until I can get my team leveled to 70 or 80. Very helpful tips and information though. And easy to understand. Most Genshin creators go into so my detail that I get lost.

I think that level up your weapon is the most efficient way to spend resources (It cost ~155 000 mora and 3 dungeon runs to level them up from 70 to 80), it gives 70-80 base ATK and increases other stats, so from leveling up something like Prototype Aminus you will get more than 200 total ATK. On the other hand, it is very inefficient to level up character because it gives only 6 base ATK per level and takes too much exp () (Ascension is worth it, but not leveling up til 45 when it is more efficient to farm exp books). After weapon and ascension the best thing to do is level up talents an start to upgrade other team members because after AR40 you should start play more team focused.

@@nightstar475 Base attack affects about 70-80% of damage (the percentage of attack without flat bonuses). 2% was the difference in Damage Scale between level 70 and 80 against the same enemy: Damage Scale = (Character Level + 100) ÷ [(Enemy Level + 100) + (Character Level + 100)] So with all stats from leveling and with scale difference it will make about 8-10% total damage difference. Leveling weapon gives about the same amount and it takes only 1 day to farm resources for it when to level up character you will need to spend about 3-4 days.

I’ll have to disagree on getting characters to 80. It is not necessary as levels do not contribute much to base stats at this point, maybe get to 79 if you really want to (as you earn a small amount of exp from looting). Weapons on the other hand improve consistently and has a nice boost once on 5th ascension and another one at level 80.

I think any non dps character can just permanently be left at 60/70, gains for leveling past that are very minimal. I personally leveled two main dps characters to 8- with lvl 80 weapons but all my supports are between 50-60 and I'm now going to get them to 70. But I can handle the new world level just fine because I have stacked main dpses.

Up to ar45 I just focused on books. Get your main characters to 70+ with weapons and talents. As soon as you got ar45, increase your world level then switch focus to artifacts

Before reaching AR40, it is much easier to complete the Nine pillar of peace quest. once you reach 40, it will automatically ascend your world level to 5. I did it when I was at AR39 and it was really easy.

Hitting AR40 yesterday, I realized this game is not really player friendly. Their algorithms do not consider the current level of your current party. Its as if when hitting AR40 and the enemies suddenly became lvl 70, the game is telling you "its your problem to adjust the difficulty we are giving you" otherwise, you gotta spend materials bcoz you are already trapped with your investment in the game. They offer plenty of characters, but when you hit AR40, you cannot enjoy them anynore coz the game is greedy on giving experience materials. Their rewards gets lower while the costs gets higher. I felt bad falling into this game.

You'll be just fine.. My team was also in lvl 60 when I reached AR40.. XD,, Just collect what you need to prepare before completing the ascension quest.. No need to rush.. f2p here..

hey heres what you need: hit character lvl80 and weapon at least 70. then level to 45 and farm artifacts

I'd highly advise against leveling talents of characters you don't plan on attacking with. I'm specifically talking about the normal attack talent. Skills, bursts, those are different. There's no point in leveling that if you don't plan on attacking with them. Supports, off field supports, etc. It'll save you some talent books for future characters you'll use as DPS characters later on. (Keep in mind, this is excluding characters who scale off of attack. An example of a character that I'm talking about is Diona. Since she scales with HP.)

The only problem I got in this game is basically the bosses. I'm ar 41 with my team's levels being at 50-60 and with my characters not doing much damage, so it takes HOURS for me to get just one number of the materials I need to ascend them. I'm pulling for ayaka rn, and I'm in need of primos, so that's why im trying to do quests and spiral abyss. I really can't move forward and I'll be forever stuck in this game :

i’m adventure rank 40 and most of my characters are lvl 30-60 on average, i’ve been playing at a decent speed but i’ve always been levelling up my main team so most characters are behind. i’ve finished all of my archon quests too quick sadly so i’m a bit bored (childe boss quest, we will be reunited, autumn winds scarlet leaves) and i’ve finished venti’s story quest. i have some more story quests to do though!

I was stuck at AR 35 for months and a few days ago I finally beat the second ascension dungeon and I ended up hopping to AR 45 I was shocked at how much experience I say to hop that far but but I also have to lower my world rank there's no way I can fight level 70 monsters right now. Finally got to go to inazuma but I want to take my time and gather enough materials to ascend some of my characters because most of them their materials are only found at inazuma.

I just hit ar 40 and did today's commissions and dear lord i had to request a co-op help from discord. I even needed their help to farm for better artifacts for my chars and my only lvl 60 chars are Kaeya and aether😭 I don't have much chars either, i don't have diluc, bennett or razor. For most i have Ayaka, Kaeya, xiangling and sucrose/Lisa as my main team. My only pulled chars are Ayaka, c2 xiangling and kujou. I'm saving for 2.7 and hutao/kazuha's next rerun

My very first kazuha i got last day save noelle,bennett,xiangling,and xingqiu and i will farm hist 5star artifacts in lvl90 enemies even some of my character is lvl 69 but still i can make it just to build elemental team... This game is like science u must learn elements for what is better use to enemies...😅 i highly recommend to stuck AR35 first then max out good artifacts u get to lvl16 and prepare ur 2team build for preparing for AR40-45

2 out of 3 tasks finished. I left my team at lvl 79 the moment i hit ar 40 (since i farmed a lot on ar 38-39) and mined a lot especially expeditions on my own world (don’t have a friend to co op for mining someone else’s world). The talents for the team are all lvl 4, so that is my goal for now: leveling up talents to lvl 6. Artifacts can come later at ar 45
