What you think the rupture of the parachute in this position is a positive or a negative situation ?

I think this was a positive situation as it allowed the pilot to have room to toss but also to see! I have almost ended up in my wing several times in this exact situation and am at the top of the weight range, but never quite get to the wing. This case there was already a pendulum motion that threw the pilot forward. They say to climb through the wing to toss but I can imagine that would not be at all easy!

I guess that's what happens when you don't hold down the controls, when you stall a glider.

The wing was to dynamic for this level of pilot. First he wasn't Able to stall it symmetrical. Of it's behavior i can say that either the pilot was at the highend of his kg-range or above it. Dus when he put his hands fast up the wing was almost in infinity.. siv should be done with en-A or low en-b glider when done forthe first time. I'm gladthat the glider split in two so he could toss his reserve.
