Over the years the Five Nights At Freddy's series has gained a significant amount of fans. Something I've noticed is that although they all like the same franchise, they can vary in behaviors depending on which specific installment they consider to be their favorite.
In this video, I went over a few stereotypes I've seen about the fans that correspond to their favorite game in the series.

I always thought FNaF 3 was the most climatic(yes even more than FNaF 6). The Happiest day minigames is such a big moment because finally after 3 games, the original 5 can finally be set free from the animatronics. Also making Springtrap the only animatronic also for me atleast, makes him feel more like a final boss or main villain.

I don't know how hot of a take this is, but FNAF 4 is my favorite FNAF fan game, and not just because it's the scariest. I love how the gameplay is almost completely different from the games before it. When the trailer came out, it wasn't at all what most fans were expecting from the teasers, and I honestly love that. Imo, this is where FNAF lore peaked in terms of intrigue. I love how the immediate follow-up to FNAF 3, the game with the most straightforward story by far, ended up being the one that completely bamboozles the fandom to this day. To me, the most interesting theory surrounding this game in particular is the one claiming that Nightmare is literally Death Incarnate, and while that is a bit questionable now, I personally like it because it makes Nightmare a much cooler character. While the Nightmare animatronics' designs are admittedly a bit tryhard, I personally think they're badass, especially Nightmare Fredbear. In fact, Nightmare Fredbear is my favorite FNAF animatronic, and part of it is because of how he's introduction. You start night 5, you don't see any animatronics for a minute, and all is calm, and then you hear it. A deep, sinister laugh, and that's when night 5 really begins, and you just know that who you're dealing with is a bigger threat than all of the animatronics you've dealt with before. Ngl, this is the best execution of a FNAF boss night, bar none. And lastly, I'd like to talk about the ending. It not only features the now iconic Bite Of 83, but it's followed by the introduction of Nightmare, who's pretty much Nightmare Fredbear on crack. You beat the night, but you're greeted to what seems to be the last thing the Crying Child sees before dying from his head injury. I dunno about ya'll, but to me, this ending hits different from all of the other endings in the franchise. Happiest Day might be a more effective tear jerker, but it was also a satisfying ending, because it seemed like the moment when years of suffering finally came to an end. Fnaf 4's night 6 ending is not that. This is just a tragic and heart wrenching moment. Also, I feel like of all the stereotypes in this video, I actually fit the FNAF Security Breach stereotype more than anything, which is really funny. I am an artist, I am drawn to the characters and vibes more than anything.

I'm a SL fan and you got me on most of it the one thing you got wrong is how OBSESSED I am with the lore I am reading the tales from the pizzaplex book right now(i took a break from the fandom when they were coming out and now i spend every second possible reading them), subscribed to roughly 50 theory channels and have 2 projects im making relating to the fnaf lore one is a slideshow with every peice of evidence you could possibly use for a theory the other is a au where I try to combine the underlying mechanisms of the fnaf world with the the magnus archives world I'm not much of a fan of coming up with my own timeline though surprisingly- I find it more fun to watch others, notice their flaws and have a few small opinions of my own :] I love the sci-fi of fnaf but I also love the horror and clearly the story XD I like worlds with a lot of doors left open, a play place for creativity. I like a lot of ARGs but they don't keep me for long because they are trying to make the story understandable. I dont want a cohesive story that a community can agree on. that's not where the fun is. and nothing has ever beat fnaf at being utterly incomprehensible I hope you don't mind the passionate essay in your comment section XD

I'm usually trying to do the best possible , i'm currently : night 7 on FNaF 1 , night 7 FNaF 2 , night 6 FNaF 3 , night 8 FNaF 4 , (For SL i never tried but technically i'm ennard night? Cuz i finished the 5th night and never tried the ennard night yet) , I restarted FNaF 6 to put all animatronics yesterday , but i was on saturday , 8k points on UCN and for the fan game i tryharded thoses nights at fredbear's and finished the game. Hmm, I don't think I've ever really had a favorite, so I don't think most of these really apply to me. I have replayed FNAF 1 more than the others, so maybe that's it, but idk. There is something to like about each game, wether it's design, horror elements, characters, story, even the sci-fi, there is something that I enjoy in each of them. Maybe my favorite one will be one that possesses all of the things I like in each, but that one hasn't fully shown up yet.

You did FNaF AR SO DIRTY ITS REALLY REALLY GOOD I PROMISE (u triggered my ranting abt this game OMG SORRY,,) I like FNaF AR because of its unique gameplay (like there's literally NO other game like it anywhere) and the collectable aspect of it is rlly fun. I really like grinding to make a team of animatronics to send at my friends :] I also liked the lore they included with the mail servers (Afton googling horrendous things while possessing Vanessa and the absolute SIMP in tech support dgaf bcuz he's in love lmao, then u have the bad business practices in Fazbear Entertainment on full display through other emails, as well as the development of the funtime service) You also got the first look at 'dark remnant' (becomes very important esp for things like the 'Into the Pit' game!), which has been important to theorizing about the shadow animatronics (esp cuz RWQFSFASXC is tied to remenant collection in this game) Newer updates ruined the novel aspects of it and made it a lot more gamey and monetized, which I was not fond of (ex. having a shield, power ups, and animatronics taking multiple shocks to take down. I also wasn't fond that they changed the animatronics slowly stalking towards you into you picking things off the map, but wtvr) Now that the game is defunct, and even before servers shut down actually, I play/have played Forsaken AR: Darkest Delivery. It's a fangame/mod that adds a ton of stuff to the base game and fixes most if not all the gripes I had. It runs on separate servers so it's still operating. The gameplay is really nice, they added a ton of new animatronics, plushsuits, cpus, and other neat stuff (like profile icons and changing map music!) There's new bossfights and salvage mechanics and a whole lot of other stuff!! They're actually working on making a version of the game from scratch so they can add their own mechanics and stuff rather than just mixing and matching old mechanics! (It's called Forsaken MR, it'll be playable on any device, not just mobile because they're using entirely mixed reality environments! I think it's gonna release next year :] ) So yeah GO PLAY FORSAKEN AR PLEASE!!!! It's easier if ur on Andriod cuz u gotta sideload all this stuff on iPhone but it's WORTH IT TRUST!!!

I’d have to say that I’m definitely an exception, I’ll explain. I have many favorites for this franchise, I can’t pick just one, and if I did have a favorite at some point in time, my opinion on which game I truly love has probably changed (which is quiet often). And I’d say I do see a little bit of the traits in these stereotypes in myself from every single game mentioned. But sad thing is, the only game I played is Help Wanted VR (through a library) because I don’t have access to any of the games at home mostly because I lack the money for it. I am a big bag of everything, need a nerd of FNAF? I gotcha! Need an artist? I gotcha! But I’m not annoying and edgy (at least not all the time). I can be friendly and easy going and sometimes I just wanna be left alone. I don’t care what anyone else says about FNAF, I just enjoy playing it and will love a good thrill when I seek it. I also love the lore behind FNAF and I think Scott Cawthon did a wonderful job with every single game, and made them unique!

My favorite fnaf game: Security Breach. Reasons: Lore, Characters (Design, Personalities, etc.) Free Roam, the sci-fi aspect, BURNTRAP (he's my favorite fnaf character by far) My least favorite fnaf game: Five Laps At Freddy's. Reasons: Game is difficult and annoying, weird character designs, lack of lore, lack of personality. Why I like fnaf: was the first mascot horror franchise I discovered. Today, for me it has been mostly outcompeted by games like poppy playtime, but some of the things that help keep my fandom for fnaf alive are: the extensive lore, the character designs, the character personalities, a good mix of horror and fun, the sci-fi element, and its community. Also, one major thing about me that was true from the stereotype is that I love free-roam and sandbox games. Those are my favorite types of games. Side Note: I originally became a fnaf fan roughly around the release of the ruin dlc for security breach.

I agree that FNaF 6 stereotype was very good. But there's more in my case. Yes I dislike newer games but that's only because they aren't what FNaF always been in terms of gameplay. The gameplay of FNaF is something that thousends of developers wish they had right to and seeing that modern FNaF is not even using it anymore is just sad. I also love FNaF 6 (office) for how scary it is. People really underrate how scary FNaF 6 is, I played both FNaF 6 and FNaF 4 and I can confidently say that FNaF 4 is way less scary than FNaF 6, yes of course FNaF 4 is way scarier on your 1st playthrough, but then you get familiar to the game and it's just not scary anymore. But in FNaF 6 you always have that feeling of sitting in a complete silence, terrified that you may have missheard any sound. Which makes me always sweat so much, even through I have 30 hours in FNaF 6 and at this point FNaF 4 would be a game for babies. I also just LOVE AND LOVE it's ending, I think the Henry speech is written perfectly and the music makes it even better. But the thing which makes me the most intrested in FNaF 6 is it's wasted potential. Like, I'd LOVE this game to be a collection of every FNaF character, to finally finish their part of the story. Like, Entire Afton family, MCI, DCI, Phantoms, Nightmares, Shadows and Emilys. And I also would love the gameplay to be conclusion to the main frenchise and BRING BACK THE CAMERAS >:)))))))))

I still own FNAF World from it's original release on Steam, never refunded it when Scott Cawthon put it up for unlimited refunds. Only put in around 27 hrs but *shrug* it was fun. I DO like horror and the FNAF spooky stuff tho... I just suck at playing horror myself and so mostly watch others play it and fanworks, being around since the OG game or 2 and definitely before the Random Encounters 3rd night of the musical came out, back when my 9 and 12 yo kiddos were newborn to toddler range at most. xD Spookiness is fun, lore is fun, the way others freak out is hilarious and great. 10/10 enjoyment factor on all fronts/games! :D
