Go into the sync audio settings and play around with it to find a better setting that works for your particular phone and brain! This channel has another short video on doing this, and when you get it right it’s like the clouds have parted with the accompanying angelic choir and rays of sunshine in terms of your scores 🤩😂 (FWIW I’ve got mine set to 120ms delay on my old iPhone 12 Pro still running iOS 15 - I’ve got a newer phone with iOS 17, but it seems there was some kind of display latency bug that came in with iOS 16 and that I don’t think is fully fixed yet in 17 (somehow, even after this long?! 😖😫), and since apparently I like getting my Beatstar fix more than I like money from selling my old tech, so far I still have this as my “Beatstar phone”… FML 😆) Also go into settings and turn on the Perfect+ highlight if you haven’t already (just “perfect” then turns into yellow and “good” goes red), which makes it easier to adjust your timing during the song if something isn’t quite lined up right with your fingers on the beats. Fair warning there’s an adjustment period involved - you might feel like you’re suddenly sucking way more at the game if you see more yellow than usual, but stick with it! 🙌

it is on android you just tap the tiles when they're on that bar like you see in the video, if you tap the tile right when the line is on the perfect bar, you get a perfect+, that gets you medals (gold, platinum, diamond and diamond perfect if you get ALL the lines in the perfect bar) there are three "ranks" of the songs, normal (ranging from very easy to somewhat tricky), hard (ranging from mildly difficult to basically extreme) and extreme. you can play with your index fingers (with your phone laying on a table or whatever in front of you) or with your thumbs, holding your phone normally there are a couple ways to get songs: - filling up cases of a given genre or difficulty (or songs you like) with cards in different ways, like watching ads or by playing songs - buying a single random song of 4 random genres that change every 24h (i think) for a stupid price (149 while you get around 10 coins every day, for leveling up you get a bit more but still) - buying them for real money - winning them from "tour passes", usually you get only 2 or 1 out of around 9 for finishing them and the rest you still have to buy with real money. every once in a while songs are just given for free there are recently added "deluxe" songs which are just more difficult versions of normal and hard songs, you need to have a normal version to get the deluxe one. this one also has cases to fill
