What caught my eye was your video about Sea Containers. I thought you were a little goofy, but I kept watching. Liked the way you noodled through you Cabin/House plans, and thought you were a little goofy. Then understood you would not take crap off of trolls on KZbin and thought you were a little less goofy, but goofy nun the less. Then it clicked for me in your last (this) video; you're a God fearin Christian, that loves building things with your hands, and likes modern building styles along with rusty old machinery, loves dogs and your family, values and helps your friends, does not like drama but loves the majestic views of the Rockies, and (a native or not I can't tell yet, but has lived there at least long enough to let it show through...) a Texan, and a little goofy. Then it dawned on me, you and I might be kin, or at the very least kindred spirits. I am a new fan of your channel and if I can help in any way, all you have to do is ask.

I feel exactly the same way. Im relatively new to the whole youtube community. It started with just googling how to renovate a travel trailer that I am living in. I still marvel at the www and the fact that we have info at the tip of our fingers, but the youtube community has been awesome and a huge help in building my tiny home. There is no way I would have been able to accomplish or even begin any of this without youtube and the wonderful helpers there.

I seriously was in tears as i am now, everytime i bring up doing something like homesteading i am met with such resistance. This morning you have reminded me that the world is changed sometimes by one man/woman. I felt the spirit as i feel it now.. God says ask and you shall receive, and omg i know i can do... And i brother have nothing... Broke, without a clue how... I just know why... His stripes.

I've always lived by the golden rule even though I'm not overly religious. It's a shame some people can be so horrible and I really can't understand why anyone would have an issue with what your doing. Keep up the good work, you've got a lot more people wishing you good then bad.

Mick, I waited till I could really Thank You. I was sleeping in class the day they told us: " If you start a channel, very lonely people will find Negativity is their only source of power". Wait a minute, they had color TV but not Internet when I was in school. Currently truth has less value than feelings, so don't say what people don't want to be true. Hi I'm new to your channel and your the man that's going to show us my retired siblings bought a few acres in northern Arizona we want to build in the desert homestead and or live off grid it's our desire God willing we should start this year 2020 were excited just don't know where to begin 🤷
@ModernMountainLiving4 жыл бұрын
Nena, I am Honored and Thanks for joining the Team. Where to start: "In the Beginning" vid. Find out what you can build. Ask those questions I did. How rural are you, are you in town or Country? Make a list of what you want. " Modern Cabin Plans" Define your budget. How much are you willing to do? What is your elevation, that will determine some of your heat and cooling needs. Northern AZ can be cold so I have some ideas. A water source strategy needs to be defined. Let me know. Don't send private information you don't want the world to see. gobuilditbetter@gmail.com Be Blessed

I love your videos! Thank you for including me. I completely agree with you! It’s not a competition. When I started my research over two years ago I went through so many channels to find the ones on my list. I decided to make and keep my list public for anyone who is just starting to try to find good, honest and real folks to follow. They can see all channels I sub to so they too can find those channels without having to search so hard for them. I have an eclectic list of creators as well. 😉 My great grandmother taught me the golden rule as a child. It is a lesson I’ve never forgotten. I’m not perfect at it, but she always said Jesus was and is the only perfect person, but we can strive for the same perfection. As long as we are striving for it then we will do better and better over our lives. It’s the best lesson ever taught to me. I can see the progress you’ve made on the current property and I am impressed! Someone will be truly blessed to be able to obtain that property!

Gobuilditbetter they are too dangerous. I would never let an employee do some of the stuff they were doing let alone my spouse. They were also just doing things wrong. I’m a licensed general contractor so it’s hard to watch that stuff. They seem like good people though. Nothing against them. I did enjoy their vision and personality.
Gobuilditbetter they attached drywall to the sip and sandwiched it between the roof timbers. They didn’t understand the drawing.
