J-HOPE was helping RM direct the MV by keeping everyone on a timetable and getting things going. He was the assistant director. Jin was the one who came up with the choreo as well as the outfits they are wearing. His inspiration came from their outfits in Blood Sweat and Tears haha

J-Hope wrote Mama as a dedication to his mom. His mom even took a job abroad in order for J-Hope to be able to continue dancing and follow his dream. He eventually ended up debuting with Big Hit and the rest is history. Mama is so touching and wonderful, you should definitely experience it with your moms - a mother's loving sacrifice and her son's deep-felt gratitude and love for his mom. You know if it's J-Hope it's gonna be amazing. 💜

Jin decided the wardrobe because he was the stylist. The luggage guy (Jimin) is responsible for making sure that all of the members have the clothing that the stylist has chosen...aka, he keeps track of things and hauls it from place to place. The subtitles showed that they all selected their own places to do the lip sync portions of the video.

3:12 Yes, Jimin was luggage guy and smile thingy but Jin was the dance choreographer(who did that leJINdary choreo) and STYLIST (manages wardrobe and make-up, he was the one who made them wear that iconic jacket from BST and they also used that jacket during their Muster last year when they sang SB). Tae was the mental adviser who takes care of their well mental, massages and encourages them when they get stress (not chaotic coz that is very normal for them lol). Yoongi was the snack guy (which was also his role in their mini-drama in one episode of Run BTS in "House of BTS/Bangtan"). Hobi as the assistant director, RM as the Director and Kookie as the cameraman, in which these roles speak their functions. RM was the director here, yes, but most of them contributed on all their roles like places/areas to shoot, actions to do etc..they suggested this and that and just basically teamwork. PS: Name one thing BTS as a group and individually bad at, besides getting lost on and out their way during award shows? ----LIPSYNCING.
