Hating on the original Evil Dead trilogy is one hell of a contender for bad take of the year. Way to start the new year strong.

I agree with the host. I say the OG Evil Dead is trash compared to the 2013 remake. The group of friends in the remake actually had a legitimate AND noble reason to be at the cabin, instead of just partying like idiot horny teens. The practical effects were superior also, and Mia is a far better protagonist than Ash could ever hope to be.

1) theyre woke 2) theyre british 3) theyre homosexuals that right there should tell you they are contrarians to be contrarian. Seriosuly just go watch ANY of their wrestling takes. They have BLM at the top of their videos still, they HATE kane and hulk hogan, and they LOVE girl power and feminism. So it makes sense to hate Ash and LOVE Mia
@captbuckyohare5585Күн бұрын
The OG Evil Dead is a triumph of independent filming making with no money. It's an inspiring film in a meta sense and a recognised ground breaker for the genre. 2013 ED is inherently derivative. It doesn't exist without the original and brings nothing especially new to the table other than hyper gore and louder music. This is a travesty of a take.
@ryanbirmingham2610Күн бұрын
Talking up the quality of a movies effects that was made 30 years later with 45 times the budget, is now a much stronger candidate for bad take of the year. Congratulations.

When Freddy Harris is dressed as Michael Myers and he's yelling at the real Michael to get his ass back to the garage it made me chuckle, but when Michael tilts his head for a second then walks away as if he's actually gonna do that 🤣🤣🤣 I was in tears laughing 🤣🤣🤣, Michael was probably thinking "what the hell?, what is happening right now?, why am I yelling at me and how is that possible?"🤣🤣🤣

Please explain how you came to the conclusion that the brother in Intruders was a deadbeat when he was on his death bed dying from cancer. Unless you're calling cancer patients deadbeats which in itself would be wrong also.
@susanlund6194Күн бұрын
The first movie that came to my mind was Monster Party. A trio of petty crooks are set up to slip away with a bunch of cash from a rich family's home during a large elegant dinner party the family is hosting. All the guests are members of the same 12-step recovery group for addicts as the homeowners. The thieves find out too late that the support group is for recovering serial killers. 😅 Also, I'm kind of surprised he didn’t mention that Last House on the Left is heavily inspired by (and essentially the same story as) the older Swedish film Virgin Spring (from Ingmar Bergman, I think?), with the violence dialed up to 11. That film is itself based on a medieval swedish legend (I think dating back to around the 11th or 12th century or so?). The two films take very different approaches to telling what is fundamentally the same basic story. I think it's fascinating how the two directors created such utterly distinct works from the same source material.

How can you put Halloween Resurrection on this list, when Michael Myers was not a victim any more than any other slasher villain that ends up getting defeated, but you didn't include The People Under the Stairs? That was the first movie that popped into my head when I heard the title of the video.
@dylanglaze990Күн бұрын
In that first entry, you say the brother is a serial killer, but you leave out the part where he kills rapists and only once theyve shown that theyre going to rape his sister. Their dad created the room for them to punish them, they didnt create it to kill people. The girl was traumatized so the brother would go out and bring men home and if they tried to rape his soster they killed them. O even think they gave them a chance to live if im not mistaken, theyd just not take it. Its been a bit but they werent as horrible as you thought the whole time i do remember that much.

The collector probably shouldn't be on this list at all cus there's 2 invaders one of which is the main character and isn't a victim until the end and the other one is the collector (the bad guy) and the family who lived in the house pretty much ended up being the victim not the invader

Panic Room really should be a consideration. Thanks for the list!
@kirstybrown11858 сағат бұрын
I wouldn’t like this though. 95% of the movie the robbers have complete control. It’s all luck that helps the mum and daughter. Only 2 of the robbers die and it’s each other that do it. It kind of fits the idea but not nearly as well as the ones in the list and suggested in the comments.
