Maybe it's because I only ever saw JBL as JBL and not Bradshaw, but I thought he was the perfect heel champion at the time. The whole rich southerner, riding in on his limo, writting a book, and helping to not only elevate opponents to greater heights, but also his team. Sure, there were things that wouldn't fly today by a long shot, but overall, I'd say he is the best heel transitional champion in WWE.

@tomseville234516 күн бұрын
Over nine months is the longest transitional reign in wrestling history... 🤣🤣 By THAT logic, EVERY heel champion in history was a "transitional champion" to some extent, as they all eventually lose it to a babyface. Plus, he actually wrote his financial tips book while injured at some point between 2002-early-'03, even before he returned to SmackDown with Ron as The APA. The original cover photo still had him with the long black hair and the mustache. That book being released and his new clean-shaven, blond look actually foreshadowed "JBL"...

What about the the time he switched to WWE, and winning the title TWICE; making it count as 19. And including the “other world championships” he’s technically a 25 TIME WORLD CHAMPION!!!!! #7 - Absolutely not. It was a stupid decision solely to get him to tie Flair's record. He held it for under a month and wasn't even the last person PINNED in the Chamber match to drop the belt (AJ Styles was.) #6 - It essentially buried Kofi right back to the mid-card with him never being taken seriously as a main eventer again and people cheering McIntyre winning the belt had NOTHING to do with how Kofi lost it. If Kofi had an actual match, they could at least show some of that footage of him getting the upper hand on Lesnar to highlight his ability when they need him in a main event spot.
