Not really surprised The Kliq are all over this list, especially considering: -1995; During the height of Kliq in influence, WWE sees panic-level ratings & attendance numbers. Several members of the roster would go on to say that locker room morale at the time was low. -1999; Kliq influence is almost all gone at this point, & WWE is seeing a gigantic rise in popularity thanks to a hungry locker room filled with promising stars. Meanwhile, 2 members of The Kliq have gained influence in WCW, & WCW is starting to see a massive downturn in popularity, made worse by a locker room eating each other for a push. I mean, remove the nostalgia goggles & maybe they weren't really that great for business. Good performers, but bad for decision making.

Also, he did the job for Kidman.....and he definitely didn't have to do that. Hogan wanted the best for Hogan, but there isn't anything where he threw himself to the floor crying, Hogan was all about his own image, not being derogatory about other wrestlers. Probably because the Rock & Wrestling generation of wrestlers balked at the possibility they could outdraw Hulk, even Randy Savage seems to have some self doubt about that. Many wrestlers from that era did genuinely see Hulk as a locker room leader and someone who helped make them money, solely on his mainstream popularity and large drawing years from that era. Tonga Fifita (AKA Meng/Haku) shared a new story about Hulk telling the other wrestlers to buy their homes while they were booming at that time. He was clearly aware Hulk's name is ruined by now, so for him to say something like that... he must genuinely like Bollea. I'm sure there are a lot of wrestlers from that time who agree

@Adam L The only one amongst those 3 that deserve his fair share of credibility is Sean Waltman: dude's not biased in 90% of the shoots he does. The other two don't have a shred of credibility. Kevin Nash depends on which side of the bed he woke up; he either thinks that A wrestler was one of the best to work with, or he goes on on how vanilla and stale he was. Scott Hall is even worse, rarely as anything to add and refuses to praise someone he's not friends with. These two, alongside Triple H are Shawn's biggest fanboys, and constantly put him over in ridiculous and ludicrous ways, like Nash and Hall claiming that Shawn was 6'1 ( he was never over 5'11), and mentioning how minuscule Jericho, Owen or Bret were ( the two former being Shawn's height and Bret being clearly the tallest of the bunch at 6"0). Then they get all pissed of someone points out that the Rock or Stone Cold had a bigger impact than their Toy Boy ( they specially dislike The Rock).

@@justinobuscape7031 Shawn Michaels is 6'1. Bret is 6'0. Shawn edges Bret in height. Do your research.
@justinobuscape70314 жыл бұрын
@@NerdyKid_Inc Oh boy, I don't want to burst your bubble, but what the hell, let's do it anyway. I did my "research": if you look for either interviews dating from the 90's to shoot interviews with people close to Shawn from the past 25 years, you'll learn that Shawn has used lifters for a long time. A long, long time. In then WWF, he then switched for about 4-5 years to these cowboy-esque boots with reinforced heel that a lot of people complained ( oddly enough, even Kevin Nash); the boots, plus the lifts gave Shawn quite the jump and he appeared a few inches taller than he really his, contrasting with someone like Bret, Owen, Davey Boy, who were really flat footwear. Later, in his second coming mimicking our lord and savior Jesus Christ, he change his footwear once again and were an augmented sole, much more comfortable and Impact! friendly. By then, you could see in backstage segments that he barely had any advantage over guys like Benoit or Jericho, but specially Benoit ( maybe half an inch). After he retired, he has interacted several times with Bret Hart, and if you care to search for either photos of the 2 or videos ( for instance, when both of them were in the ring with John Cena and Randy Orton for the unification title promo), you can clearly see that, while wearing the same footwear, there's at least a 2 inch gap between them favouring Bret. Heck, Shawn admitted in recent years that he was never 6'0, "more like 5'10 and a half, 210 pounds in my prime, but I still managed to make quite a career out of it".
