WHATDAYMADE DIY: Tissage Woven Wall Hagging

Time to change up some things! I really wanted something bright, colorful, and handmade for my big blank white wall. Fell in love with the idea of making a woven wall hagging, which btw is also called a Tissage. Oh so fancy!

What You Will Need:
For the Loom
- Canvas Frame or any wooden frame
- Nails or strong draping pins
- Hammer
- Pencil & Ruler
- Wooden stick/shed stick
- Piece of Cardboard-cereal box
For the Woven Wall Hagging-Tissage:
- Any colorful yarns and textures
-Tapestry Needle with a blunt tip
- Scissors
- Wooden Stick or a branch

A bit fast for a beginner to learn from &the volume is a bit off (music vs your voice) but I absolutely LOVE how you used recycled & simple household items! Very creative! Would love to see a couple of your different ideas made for beginners learning for the first time! 🙂

I’ve see other videos and the pros say to leave you weaved edges loose when weaving so they won’t be tight and pull in your work. Leave the edges looser and your work will be more even

That music! Couldn’t hear any of the dialogue because I had to turn down the volume. Otherwise good. I would recommend using a long shuttle or a longer blunt needle made for weaving. The one your using is too small and takes time to weave through.

Hi! I am no yarn expert lol, but I just used the plain yarn in different colors. Also, found chunky yarn and one that looks like cotton to make that puffy braid. :)

This is some really lovely work, some instructions need to be a little clearer for beginners, I felt a little lost in some parts I would have watched again to clarify but much like others have already mentioned the music was jarring, it was really loud. It didn't match the tone of your voice and it almost put me off watching the whole video.

The difference in the volume of your voice and the music was quite annoying. I had to keep turning it up to hear your voice then down because the music was too loud. Just a little thing to think about when editing. Maybe talk a little louder or have the music a tad quieter. Other than that i really enjoyed this video. Thank you 💚
