I can't even begin to express how happy this video made me! I have autism, which results in people treating me like a child even though I'm in my 20s, so I often have to "pretend to be normal" in order to be taken seriously, which is so depressing. But nobody is normal! We should all be free to embrace our childhood whimsy and never dull our sparkle for anyone!! This video is delightful, beautifully filmed, and honestly just really inspiring! I wish you best of luck reclaiming your joy!!

I feel the same about the poison in the news, social media feed... and the recent incident where the war hit too close to heart in my Druze community in the Golan Heights 😢 so hear me out cousin, Bhutan _needs_ to be on your bucket list to travel someday. I went there back in 2015 and let me tell ya... its a whole other world (like you wont even believe) .. I mean right out of a Studio Ghibli movie (not sure if your a Miyazaki fan?) or Avatar The last Air bender Walking around there in a place they call _the Land of Smiles_ you could easily picture yourself in an Air Nomad temple. And what more to say about a country that emphasizes Gross National Happiness ? Looking forward to visit again G-d willing any way keep your chin up Cousin, we will get through, we always do. Cheers!

This was a great video Batsheva. I realized that whimsey is an important part of ones mental health. For instance, I started staying up watching late night anime on adult swim till 2 am because I wanted to capture the feeling when I was a tween and teen doing the same thing. I also go to my local cocktail bar to drink absinthe which makes me feel like a belle epoch writer, and have coffee at the diner before than to feel like a film noir character. Also a great thing about fashion, you can become a character in your own novel/anime/video game. My loving mother bought me a sixteen inch pair of lineman boots. In them I feel like a character from a fantasy fiction and sometimes like a soldier in a gritty scifi film. It also gets back to my college years when, me being a millenial hipster, i started waring flannel so now they also make me feel like a lumberjack. One last thing speaking of college. What affected me about october 7th wasn't just the antisemitic r@pe of nanjing equivelent that it was, but my friends from college denying it happened. These were the first friends I made since I was overmedicated at 10 and lost all my childhood friendships that way. But, what gives me hope, is I also remember 10/8. Every sunday I go to a lebanese restaurant for an arak and shish taouk brunch(I'm a baal teshuvah but I skip kashrut 2 days a week, that's between me and Hashem). On october 8th I went there and a morrocan waiter I made a friendship with paid for my arak as a show of solidarity with me. I also got tons of support from the friends I made outside of college. There are many much more good people in this world other than the loud radicalized filth that has the loudest voice. Much love and Am Yisrael Chai.

1000% this is the content i love to watch. Honest, and striving for goodness. i go on my phone sometimes to feel good or have a laugh and end up getting sucked into evil content made by people who don’t seem to care about anything, except what party they can get into. Thank you for sharing the truth of what’s it’s like to be broken, unhappy, blind and hopeless, without giving up. it is painful,at first, to hold onto that tiny bit of hope or listen to that tiny voice of wisdom because it means looking at where you have landed, acknowledging the darkness. Eventually it becomes a fruitful pursuit of goodness. It’s worth it to see the light even if that bit of light just reminds you of everything you dont have. Eventually you will have all the evidence you need to reach the same conclusion as batsheva. The choice comes from you, but you aren’t alone in that choice. And when you make that choice, to see the good and spread it, you are making yourself (past and forward) proud, even when you’ve forgotten why you made the choice at all.
@BatshevaDueck.2 ай бұрын
basically everything you said x100. It's so hard sometimes, to hold onto that light when the darkness is looming, but then inevitably the darkness ends, and you'll be able to appreciate the light so much more.

Hi! Today I went to the countryside. There is a big park with a palace and I wanted to visit the park. I have not been prepared either that the entrance to the park won't be free or the weather will be rainy (the forecast the day before hasn't shown that). I was quite enjoying the nature, landscapes and walking. And then. I've seen a heron! I'm not sure if I ever seen a heron before - but surely I've never seen it so close. It was such a magic moment that definitely made the whole day and the trip got its sense. The heron was white, slowly walking in the water with its long legs. Then it went to an island and was cleaning its feathering. And then it flew! I was able to got this moment on a video at my phone. After a while I was able to see it again. I've not expected that such a simple thing as birdwatching could make me so happy. On the other hand, if you on purpose would want to see a heron, where would you go? I have no clue!
@BatshevaDueck.2 ай бұрын
what a beautiful story!!! Ive actually never seen a heron before. But there is such a magic to things not happening the way we've hoped, but then stumbling on something else entirely due to that. I did see a pregnant dove the other day hehe

Most people get older and get stuck in a 9 to 5, smoke and drink, only a handful maintain the same wonder and happiness of their youth. Into their old age. Getting older is a bit scary, you're losing people around you and becoming weaker and more frail.
@BatshevaDueck.2 ай бұрын
its all about your mindset!
@halaldunya9182 ай бұрын
@@BatshevaDueck. I don't know about that, when you're in your 20s you have a lot of false hope, since you're still relatively young, when you get into your 30s and 40s and 50s, it just all goes down hill. Parents are likely going to pass away, friends going to be moving on with their lives, leaving you all on your own with massive nostalgia for your younger years, and lots of sadness and depression. Especially when your parents pass away, that leaves a massive hole in your heart. And you can't really be happy ever again like your younger years.
