I like Ovens, he doesn't do gimmicks. Learned a lot from him in the 30 days challenge, using dead pine needles to start a fire was brilliant.

Ummm why is the pine needle thing a suprise? Not trying to be mean but why wouldn't they be a fire starter? Everything a pine tree has to offer is a fire starter. Teach your kids the skills. And hopefully the generation After Next will be a stronger bunch...

Greetings from Finland! Struck by fever so i have settle by watching your videos. I have to say that looked risky. Never go ice fishing without a dry-suit that has whistle and ice emergency spikes to enable you to climb back if you fall. That suit also keeps you warm and dry even if you fell through the ice and you can fish for a full day outside. Also when fishing with a shelter you need a lightsource to make the hole and bait more visible than the surrounding water.

( later or early season I don't remember ) As they were coming back to shore they were walking UP HILL. That got my attention when I heard that. In thinking that meens ths ice is bowing under your weight. SCARY!!!! or as Alden might say " Its a little cold for a swim " 😀
