What about a what if where grievous learns of sidious’s research into m-count cloning. So he has his DNA and consciousness stored away and after obi wan defeats him before order 66, he has himself new force wielding biological parts made, along with upgrading his mechanics and cyborg technologies drastically. Now his robotic parts are made from a beskar cortosis durasteel alloy. He gains a shield generator, upgraded breathing mechanism, upgraded vision and hearing. And in retaliation for the utter destruction of the separatist leadership, he takes control and wars against the empire. Darth vader vs force wielding grievous.

The ending was a bit anticlimactic for having everybody just suddenly dying by Sidious' screaming!? Apart from Grievous of course, since it's his story.
