"Collision" and "crashing" are the wrong words for universes. They are collections of clusters which are also collections. Things that aren't solid bodies cant "collide" They could only merge.

I think that the big bang was actually the merge of two universes, during which terrajoules of energy were released - energy that gave us quantum fluctuations and the bosons of each quantum field. Through the mechanics found in Feynman diagrams, these bosons would collide with each other to formed quarks, electrons, nuetrinos, and all the particles that compose our matter along with antimatter. I'd assume that the amounts of both matter and antimatter were mostly equal and that annihilated each other, breaking the matter back down into its composite energy. But after this frenzy of annihilation there would remain a small percentage of matter - matter that eventually came to form every galaxy in our universe. That's my theory. I think that if a universe merged with ours again, not only would our universe suddenly have a lot more energy and matter (or antimatter), but the other universe may have differing quantum fields and cosmological constants which might saturate with our cosmological constants and quantum feilds. Such drastic changes would probably cause every atom in the universe to become extremely fragile and crumble into particles that no longer identify as an electron or a quark. We'd die.

Fun fact: even if an universe collides with another universe, we'll not even feel a weak wind unless the collision is strong. One of the scientists who discovered that spot said that : it should have happened nearly 3000 years ago because if it had happened way more earlier the spot which now contains void would have recovered.
