You're gold man. No need to donate if you can't. You are reacting to something that already happened, and the event in question already donated, so I think it's covered. As far as animal intelligence goes, it's hard to get a good solid grasp on the rankings, but horses are in the top 20 for sure, and having worked with them myself growing up I can tell you they are more intelligent than you'd like them to be, and often make it everyone's problem if they are unhappy.
@Freedom_Half_Off5 ай бұрын
The problem with intelligence is intelligent animals like to think for themselves . They can decide to join you ... or actively work to block you in every direction based upon their own fears and assessment of the situation at hand . Anyone who has ever worked with horses or even worse mules can attest to that . Mules are highly intelligent . Which means ... they don't just go along without question unless they have developed a deep trust in the person trying to give the orders ...

@@Freedom_Half_Off had a highly trained horse who had made about 300 trips up and down a trail in Grand Teton national park, it was old logging road on side of the mountain. The horse saw a squirrel and tried to jump off the cliff side with me on it, it took extreme effort on my part to calm the horse down and get it back on the right side of the trail going up.
@Freedom_Half_Off2 ай бұрын
@@megatroll2590 I will bet you loved that horse and trusted it with your life. At the Battle of Franklin , Patrick Cleburne was found shot dead on top of his horse that was stretched trying to jump the rampart in front of it ... obviously dead too . Horses are beautiful companions and sometimes more faithful than people 😉

As always, great reaction. Keep in mind tho that for the marines, she's not just a pet at this point, she's just like one of them. For sure, a large number of them which fought on the hill feel like she's part of the reason they won, and some of them even feel like she had saved their lives (like the injured ones that got carried by her from the front lines to the depot).

The reason the Chinese Army smelled like garlic was because they chewed garlic like it was gum.

Also eating high amount of garlic give you “garlic sweat”. Your sweat literally smells like garlic. The soldiers wouldn’t have had deodorant and would have been dirty so their B.O smelled like garlic.

By the way, the only marines known to ride reckless were the wounded men she carried down the hill to the aid station. If Chesty was the last marine to ride Reckless it would have been there. Also, look at the picture of Reckless entering the Marine Corp ball. The Marine standing beside her looks like a younger version of the picture they show, close to the end, of Chesty Puller.

I know it’s a modern term but I propose we rename the defense of the ravine leading up to the aid station as the “Battle of Yeet ravine”….I’m a pretty big military history buff and I’ve never heard that story…500 grenades? Jesus man.

Find yourself a Specialist mechanic. They will be your new best friend. You'll be amazed by how many more parts are available somehow.

Yea, people will do a lot for their pets. There was one time my doggo wasn't feeling good for a few days, then he started not moving much, not eating much, and at the time, my parents weren't in town, and I didn't have a car, so I carried him to the vets office, he weighed around 100Lbs at the time and I walked with him on my shoulders for 2 miles. If I, a normal civilian, would do that for a dog, I can only imagine the shit a marine would do for their pets, and I can only hope that I never have to find out

There's another reason race horses don't make good pack animals usually: temperament. Race horses tend to be very high strung; for a pack animal (especially in this situation), you would ideally want a calm animal.
