Not gonna lie to me the most impressive thing about CG is how good he is at rapidly pronouncing these insanely long scientific animal names.

@@whatitdodave Speaking of bugs, there's one type that African Americans have a lot in common with. They're called cockroaches. I'm sure you've heard of them. Like roaches, most black people are more a dark brown than black, suffer heavy discrimination, are killed a lot, get treated like pasts, are high in number, and can sometimes be annoying as fuck. Honestly, the anime/manga Terraformers was on to something.

@@whatitdodave Though roaches have some advantages over black people in that roaches can fly, have more limbs, possess a better healing factor, have collectively existed on Earth longer, are higher in number, are more important, and have survived multiple mass extinctions. Black people and humans in general have none of those things yet are still the most dangerous animals on Earth. Humans are monsters. Roaches aren't monsters.

The guy who shot the Champawat tiger was really angry about the whole thing, because it looked like her jaw had been hit with a bullet. Which means a lot of people had died because some asshole big game hunter couldn't aim properly.

I enjoy CG because he remembers that animals are individuals and animals. He doesn’t glorify them or diminish them by pretending they are somehow humans in disguise. Each animal has a place in the balance of our ecosystem. Our neglect of maintaining habitats means that the ecosystem we depend on for our survival is currently limping along. We can either fix it our watch it crash and suffer the consequences.

actually dave. whilst we did domesticate dogs. we didn't domesticate cats. they did that themselves. essentially we started growing grains. rats started fucking with our graineries. then these small super predetors waltzed in and started eating all the rodents. and we just kinda let them stick around. eventually they started having kittens in our homes and when humans took care of the kittens the cats just decided humans were nice to stick around since their kittens wont be eaten by predetors with humans around so the cat can go out to hunt more.

Maaaan, i had a sort of bee buzz and tickle my ear when I was about 5 and my dumb kid self reacted by slapping my palm against my ear and the poor thing stung me and I cried like the world was over 😂 ETA: Not sure if we ever saved anything that took over in any way, but we have definitely introduced species to areas that have been totally messed up

Gees, especially Kanada gees are sometimes better than guard dogs. About 60 - 100 km away from us there is a plant store with a park they had little signs saying not to walk on the grass. Well the more confining backup for this sign was that they had gees guarding it.😂

The whisker John wick is funny and I really don’t understand it when people say that they don’t know what happened or why a wild animal attacked someone like it’s not a wild animal that’s acting on thousands or millions of years of instinct

16:26 Usually, the threat of extinction comes from humans in the first place, so it's only fair that we fix what we broke.

Yeah, people need to remember that animals will act as their nature dictates most of the time. So will humans, it's just that we have higher thought processes that occasionally mean we don't have to respond that way.

A good recommendation for anybody relating to Crashed Out animals is The Ghost and The Darkness. Two lions who have their very own movie about them which is closer to truth than fiction.

People still make the mistake of treating all animals like pets. If you help a wild animal survive it is still a wild animal. It might will be respect you or see you as one of your pride or their pack, but even if they grew up with you, being cuddled as babies and hand fed, they are wild animals with their instincts intact even if they are not able to be reliesed into the wild. Respect it, read it and you're good. Think of them as a harmless obidiant pet you will get hard or killed. It is NOT the animals fault, but your own.

Not quite. Its taken about 40,000 years of highly selective breeding to turn wolves into what we know as the modern domesticated dog. Its why wolf-dogs are considered so dangerous. They CAN be fine when in the hands of an experienced and trained owner but outside of that they are considered to be a lot more likely to get violent. Whether that is true or not depends on which expert you talk to.
