Locker Tour: Nick Ciuffo, Catcher, Tampa Bay Rays

In the Rays clubhouse, Nick Ciuffo, Rays catcher walks by and says to me "hey love your page!" After I got over how cool it was to hear that from a Big Leaguer, I told Nick I needed a locker tour.
Nick graciously gave us his time and insights, including his love of the gear forum "niketalk," why he loves All-Star catcher's gear, and Nick talked about a personal connection that he brings with him on the field.

just a thumb guard. i think evoshield sell them, as well as some other companies. evoshield’s thumb-guards aren’t like the large sheets of plastic, its just one guard already in shape that you just have to make fit your thumb to how you want it

If u want thumb protection for hitting, get a pro hitter. It helps with sting

if you go on the WPW website i think it may have it on there. otherwise just look up plastic or pvc thumb guards and you might find it. i am currently looking at getting evoshield’s thumb guard because its already in shape and just needs to be refitted to your thumb

if you want custom catchers gloves i would recommend 44 Pro (only do custom gloves and have a huge range), and then you have Mizuno, Rawlings and Wilson who all have custom glove options, they are just really pricey and for catchers gloves
