What a beautiful person you are Benita. I had a heart transplant in 2014 and at the time was told I had at most, 3 weeks to live. I was blessed with a donor heart after only 3 days in hospital. It is thanks to my donor and others like you who are registered as organ donors, that I am still alive today and here for my sons. A lot of countries actually let people automatically be a donor unless they state otherwise (online, via snailmail etc) such an easy solution

Same here. In Belgium everyone is a donor unless specified otherwise. Unfortunately the family can refuse to donate the organs of the deceased. I think that is outrageous. Even when you made up special documents that state you’ll donate your organs they still can. I know Belgium is a country of many laws and even more “back gates” but this is about saving other peoples lives !!! And what is worse not respecting ones last will !

Think so. Over the course of time which Monty Python did one not see 😃. But it’s too long ago to remember details. Anyway I would like them to wait until I’m dead before they run away with mine 😱And since I have no family left or at least none that cares what happens to me once I’m dead that’s not going to be an issue. How did I miss this video ?! My bag requirements are very similar to your own Benita- I also prefer a freestanding tote which I carry by hand. I have a super one at the moment which works year round but I'd like to replace at some point. I prefer a weather resistant non leather outer, preferably in navy blue. Not too large- perhaps slightly smaller than your LLBean bag and it must have an outer pocket for my keys and bus pass. I always carry a small umbrella, small purse, bus pass, keys, tissues, mints, lip salve, phone, a small deodorant spray and headache tablets (just in case) Also my little paper monthly planner & pen. And 2 folded bags for grocery shopping. Gone are the days when I owned a wardrobe of bags ! I do often use a small cross body bag , especially when I will be walking longer distances. There is a good bag company called Roka London who make nylon rucksacks, cross body bags and purses in a variety of colours - I wish they would add some totes to their collection! 🛍

You never know when society might decide to have something against you for some reason, so I would encourage everyone to keep work and personal us on separate devices as much as possible. Hi Benita, thanks for another lovely video. I prefer a 'landscape' tote bag, but my current one is 'portrait' - it's bright pink from a market in Italy and there's a small pouch attached, so I can carry my cards and other small stuff. An LL Bean just opened up in Ottawa so I'm excited to see the legendary totes in real life - I'm guessing that they last a long time.

I have watched this wonderful video with great interest and then glanced into my handbag with horror ...tissues and papers crammed into one pocket and money thrown into another ...i immediately threw everything out and tidied it all up . I like to carry an old fashioned handkerchief, and a small kitchen hand towel. They are washable, and replace the need for tissues and paper napkins. I also carry some wet wipes to sanitize public bathroom surfaces.

I do this to avoid having to rummage through my bag to find small items. I also think it’s important to never buy cheap umbrellas. Uniqlo makes the strongest and the most wind resilient umbrellas that are also affordable. I’ve had mine for 12 years.

Interesting how you like to carry your bag as a handbag or on the crease. I like the option to be able to also put a bag on my shoulder though - so always looking for the right handle length. I’m partial to totes that are longer than they are high - I just like seeing the bottom easier. But currently using a Madewell tote that is a little longer. That's pretty much the same amount of things I keep in my bag. Wallet, reusable bags, with reusable especially bags for fruits and veggies at the grocery store, phone, keys, little bag for medicine and other bits and bobs, ipod shuffle (I don't use my phone for music). I don't need an umbrella as we have literally 350 days of sun nowadays in Southern Central Europe. Also we still have money and I have no donor card because I am not allowed to.donate.

When my daughter was born I quit carrying a purse. I put keys in one pocket and my phone with a card wallet on the back in the other. But I do drive, so lip balm, nail clippers and such are in a makeup bag in my door.

So few items Benita. I try but end up with receipts, lipstick I’m not wearing, all sorts of store cards etc. In Australia, for bone marrow donation you can nominate when you give blood donations. I feel guilty now. I should be a regular donor. My sister donates plasma. If we nominate to donate any or all organs we have that recorded with our driver’s licence. It’s good because they always check when we are getting a renewal. It’s easy that way because so many people wouldn’t get around to it. And we are encouraged to let our family know our wishes too. I do have a fabric bag which I’ll take when I go out during the weekend. It’s one if those book bags you get at museums. Still a tote though, not a purse.

I used to have about 20 loyalty cards in my purse but I have most of them registered on my phone now. Using an app for store cards is a great way to declutter your wallet! But I always have a bit of cash on me in case I go somewhere that doesn’t take a card. Love your tote bags. And also your trainers which look super comfortable 😃

Hej, Benita ♡ I wonder if the tote bag is washable? I liked your other bag as well. I usually don't use any hand bags, only when needed, I'd sewn a few myself, with re-purposed fabrics and other materials. Thanks for sharing!

It’s not washable. I know from experience that the fabric loses its stability. I spot treat stains.

I think the square flour containers are still available at Clas Olson. The spice jars are from Granit but they’ve discontinued them. I think Ikea had a similar style but with a frosted band across.

A few things surprised me about this video Benita 😁 That pop socket on your phone is very bling! You don't carry a measuring tape, shock, horror! Considering you are such a perfectionist I thought that would be an essential😉 Also I love those Ray-Bans but like you I wear my hair up mostly and can't be doing with getting those awful nose clips stuck in my hair so I always chose glasses that have a fixed nose piece😎 Love that slim purse / wallet too so may invest in one of those🥰 Thanks for another great video.

Haha, the pop socket was the only black one available, I totally wanted plain! As for measures tape, I do bring it when I’m on a mission 😁. I’m with you on the nose clips. That’s one if the reasons I was open to trying another style!
