I think I have to disagree with your position that the worst thing about the ZV-1 is the battery life, especially since you have found the easiest way to remedy it--additional batteries that don't cost all that much. Personally, I think the worst thing about the ZV-1 is the totally awful stabilization. Using one of the SLOG settings, which I prefer, doesn't help much because one needs to turn off stabilization in order to not have it zoom in too far. Using Catalyst Browse does help a little, but I find Final Cut Pro X's stabilization does a much better job. I would love to use the ZV-1 more, but find myself instead using my Pocket 2 with the new handle or the Osmo Action because of the stabilization issue. If you've found a way to stabilize it that I haven't mention, please let me know. The Crane M2 does help some, but just some. Using the GP=VPT2 wireless grip doesn't help either. Suggestions?

Oh yeah, I can totally see where you're coming from. I realized while reading this that I honestly don't use it for moving shots very often and when I do, I'm usually filming in a higher frame rate so that I can slow it down + stabilize in post or I use my iphone. That is definitely something I wish they would improve if they come out with a newer version!

😆Yep, that snack bar really makes all the difference!! For more professional stuff, or when I've really planned out a video that I'm going to do, I bring my full-size backpack full of all of my major gear, but if it's impromptu, and I just want to have the option to get good video if something cool pops up, I love the fanny pack. I realized wasn't taking my A7C as many places when we were on our trip because I just wanted to just have fun and not stress like I'm working!

I wear it as a crossbody 😂 I. And be seen wearing it properly either! I definitely prefer the A7C, but the ZV-1 has been an amazing B Camera!

I bought it in January. It was my first camera. Before this i shot with iphone. I love shooting video that is why i bought ZV1. The camera is easy to bring it everywhere hence i shoot a lot. I once borrowed fujifilm xt2. The video is far better than iphone. Nevertheless its size hinders me to take it anywhere and anytime. So after study a while, the only camera that focus on video with side swipe screen is ZV1. Plus oversampling 4K and unlimited recording. Unfortunately, A7C has yet to arrive in Malaysian market that time. I have no regret. As i do video just for my hobby. In fact i am grateful because i might not be as diligent as now if i bought A7C. 😁

I love this so much. I’m a fan of fanny packs and hands free options especially if I’m out and need to “wrestle” with my little niece and nephew lol. Thanks for making a video that some of us didn’t even know we needed. Instead of Falcon I carry around the little RGB aputure also with magnets. I would normally add to that a power bank, mints and other personal items. Thanks for the camera recommendation too!

This setup as saved me so many times now, so I’m glad it helped you too! That little Aputure light is definitely what I was going for when I found the ones I use. The app isn’t as good as aputure’s but the light is nice enough for the price that I overlook it 😆
